Black Knight Greatsword is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3.

Ultra greatsword wielded by the Black Knights who wander the lands. Designed to face chaos demons.

The Black Knights constantly faced foes larger than themselves, and this sword's unique attack greatly reduces enemy poise.

Skill: Stomp
Use one's weight to lunge forward with a low stance and increased poise, and follow with a strong attack for a spinning slash.

Notes and Tips:

  • Cannot be Buffed or Infused.
  • Reinforced with Twinkling Titanite.
  • Deals 20% bonus damage vs. Demons.
  • At 40/40 Str/Dex this weapon has 612 AR and becomes stronger than the Greatsword by 11 points on top of being lighter and having an arguably better moveset.
  • The 2H R2 deal more poise damage than any other weapon in this class. This applies to the other Black Knight weapons as well.

You can still connect the first R2 hit into the second. For me the easiest way to land this is catching somebody rolling into you. That's a ~1000 roll punish.

After further testing, the true combo is dead.
HOWEVER, you can still do the 3 hit combo, only this time you roll catch them with the upswing. This is akin to the straight sword combo, R1 R1 R2 and it works no matter what direction your opponent rolls in. To do this combo you turn counter clockwise R2 so the delay in animation perfectly catches them in their rolls.

Im still having trouble landing this combo. I hit with the R2 and turn clockwise but they can still dodge it. What am I doing wrong?

I hate fighting people these things. Counter attacks are high risk low reward if you arnt using a GS hammer. I recommend making your messaging private because these people expect to win and WILL harass you if they don't get their way.

After a few hours of practice, I have confirmed that the combo still lives. For those having trouble landing the R1 > R2 combo:

                1) You have to be close enough to them when you land the R1.
                2) When you input R2, turn the left stick in a 5 o'clock direction so that it lands right where they are.
                3) Right as the first R2 hit lands, turn the left stick clockwise to an 11 o'clock direction so you turn clockwise. The reason most people miss the last hit is because they turn counter-clockwise and they're able to roll out right before (although it is possible to do it this way if executed perfectly). If you turn clockwise, it will fully combo.

I don't understand why fromsoft had to ***** this up, it was perfectly balanced and stood out from other UGSs
