Canvas Talisman is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3.

Medium for casting miracles of the Gods. Canvas talismans are austere items carried by heralds.

Equip a talisman or a sacred chime to cast miracles. Miracles must be attuned at a bonfire before use.

Skill: Unfaltering Prayer
Temporarily increase poise while casting miracles, preventing enemy attacks from interrupting prayer. Works while equipped in either hand.

Notes and Tips:

  • Cannot be Infused or Buffed.
  • Reinforced with Titanite.
  • Has the highest spellbuff of all Talismans when Faith is between 33 and 44, making it good for softcap builds. It also has the highest spellbuff of both Talismans and Chimes at 15 and 18 Faith respectively.
  • At 60 FTH it has a spellbuff of 220.
  • Great talisman for PvP when casting miracles such as Lighting Stake and Lightning Storm with Unfaltering Prayer.

It's also good for low Faith (ex. 18). The other contestant is Priest's Chime, but Talisman is better for its poise.

Daily reminder that this talisman is NOT the best one at 60 FTH like most say(not only here but in general), at 220 SB. Talisman is(yeah the one without any real name) at 226 SP.
Also, both of their WA give the EXACT same amount of poise(60).

In other words, no talisman surpasses the plain and dull talisman at 60 FTH in a pure FTH, non-dark oriented build as long as you don't seek pure raw damage(saint's) or an unreasonable amount poise(sunlight).

Brilliant for PvP as it has a fine balance of damage and poise. Subpar for PvE due to poise not really mattering, use Saints.

this might be a good medium between poise and power, but goddamn does this thing go against fashion souls

Amazing Talisman just like the wiki describes especially in PVP the HA is amazing with 60 faith and lightening storm it can cause between 700-800 dmg ind and I am at level 180 so the opponent is between Sl162 and SL198

so it's legit for a sorcerer to cast his sh*t nonstop but it's totaly bm when a cleric unpacks his healing spells? What do you think fth is for? Do you even Dark Souls?

"Has the highest spellbuff when Faith is between 38 and 41, making it good for softcap builds."
                  *looks at Rose of Ariandel*
                  Nope.

Saint's Talisman is better then the Canvas Talisman imo because it gets an S scaling in faith compared to the Canvas Talisman's A scaling in faith, 242 spell buff compared to the Canvas Talisman's 220 spell buff (keep in mind both are at +10), and fashion souls.

Wipe the floor w8th people with this thing. Best rag a *****er can have. 10 /10 would lightning steak again..

Better than Canvas Talisman at 40 faith. My canvas +10 has 180 spell buff and my priest's chime at +10 has 183 spell buff. (I have 19 str and it says that Canvas has better str scaling, but that shouldn't effect spell buff I don't think)

                        • I do not kid you when I tell you i litterally have to apologize to people for using this thing. Any miricle castor who doesnt have this in thier arsenal is simply not doing the class any justice.

For a faith build. this thing is fantastic. the hyper armor skill on it allows you to tanks low weapons. while still having great spellbuff (50 fth=200) it hits like a truck. and it casts like at truck. the skill is not as tanky as the sunlight talisman. but the increase spellbuff makes up for it (and you never get hit by a heavy weapon twice in arow anyway)Remeber to combine it with ring of the suns firstborne & mornes. and decent amount of fp. and you have yourself a faith build.compared to the saints talisman (higher spellbuff) this one is superiour. purely because the hyper armor is required to tank 2 quick weapon hits. or 1 big weapon hit. wich the skill of the saints is unable to do.This is a horrible talisman for faith buffs (dmb and lightning blade) because it's spell buff isnt optimal at all. or using it purely for heals ( sunlight is best for heals because more hyper armor )

Spell Buff is basically the power a talisman or chime can put into a spell. For example Darkmoon Blade is a buff that uses 95% (I think) of your spell buff as AR for your weapon. Not sure if it works for things like Sacred Oath but damage spells increase the higher your spell buff is as well.It might only apply to damage oriented spells as I haven't seen an increase on any of the heals or Replenishment.

What effect does the spell buff level do? Like, does it make a weapon buff such as blessed weapon stronger?
