I noticed that parts of the armor (around the shoulders and waist) seem to glow in the moonlight. Very noticeable in Irithyll.

If you for once don't want to play as the deprived a**hole this for you. Every ounce of this armor screams "HERO"!

While it is very ornate, I think this torso is marvelously designed from a realistic standpoint. The only thing about it that I'd question is the somewhat lacking protection over the armpits and the narrowing at the waist. The angles would draw blows in from the side, but I guess that depends on how the armor works underneath the surface. Though, historically rondels have been a matter of personal preference anyway.
