buff this piece of trash i could just use lothric knight sword and it will be better in every way (waiting for wannabe smarty to reply to me "uh actually its better because" shut up)

No matter how much I wish, the weapon art on this is just never going to be worth minus 120+ AR versus your average straight sword in addition to being unable to be buffed. FROM needs to heavily buff the faith scaling or just buff the base damage significantly if this is ever going to be worth using. :(

Attention to all who plan on partaking in the Hollowed Arena:
This is going to be a very common site, get used to it.
It is used mainly as a poke and can easily finish you off if you are below 25% health as it can be spammed.

Just double roll to either side of the user, poke back with a rolling light attack and keep them from having enough space to use it again. The sword itself isn't exactly something to worry about in PVP (and they will usually have a backup weapon) but if used by somebody who know's what they are doing it sure can be a pain in the neck!

Have fun, enjoy and good luck!

Hello? Eat my tarts? This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively, but, if sweetness can win, and it can, then i'll still be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday, my friend. peace.

Really good choice for a clear fencer (without pyro, magic, crossbow etc.). AR r2 allow to punish all UGS, and if you out of range, you can always shoot with art attack. Catching rolls, gotting steppers, guard breaks and stuff. Damage is low and if you seek duel for 2-3 hit, move along. Eat medium of stamina, watch this. This is weapon for fun and refained duels, not for victory seekers "ha-ha, catch you, take 1200+ combo". Can be a good second weapon for finishing (quick, long, fast shooting art catching even while runing side of you). Good weapon in prop hands.

If I had to infuse a sword for a prince who would use magic I would of put either fire or blessing, fire to show what he was born to do or blessing to show his faith in what he believes, people seem to think the sword was made for a weak body but no they never knew that he was going to be born weak, it was going to be made for strong prince

                • 24 Jan 2017 15:33

Lets take a look of what might of happened if the weak prince had of been born strong, he would of used the sword which should have had magic infusion or blessing on it or at least lightning as he is royal blood and more than likely to fight any remaining dragons, but he was born weak so he never used the sword, but the character can so the sword should represent how it should of been used. Fighting undead, dragons or anything weak against magic.

If we're going into particulars, Lothric doesn't use hp regen, so why would his soul's sword have the blessed effect on it? Also, note that the sword has higher dex scaling, which could imply that its meant to be used with skill.

                    • 20 Jan 2017 09:40

The lothric holy sword may have been made for a weak body so it would not be a tank weapon but it should have blessing to add more of how the weapon is as the prince uses magic so why doesn't the sword have blessing I mean the weapon art is good and range is good but say in real life a blessed sword will help a weak person who uses magic just for a boost

                      • 20 Jan 2017 09:19

The lothric holy sword weapon art is useful and the range is brilliant but it is made for weak prince lothric so it would not be a tank weapon, if someone is playing a miracle build then its good, but if not then don't use it I mean I keep it because it looks cool, it would be better to add blessing as it would suit how the weapon is and it would help alot of players who want to use it

Aren't people just approaching this weapon the wrong way. Let's take a look at Lothric/Lorian's boss fight for reference: During the fight it is the champion Lorian who attacks you physically while the frail Lothric provides support for his brother by throwing magic at you to keep the pressure on you which provides openings for lorian, teleporting Lorian close to you and healing his brother when needed. Let's take a look at how the weapons compare: Lothric's holy sword has low base damage with low scaling, but has the instant light beam. Lorian's Greatsword has high AR and hyperarmor. The swords literally perfectly match the brothers, yes? People expect to be able to hit like a truck with Lothric's holy sword because it's an end game weapon, but the point was to match the brothers' styles. If using Lothric's holy sword, then you'll want to fight how a frail, sickly person would fight, with skill and strategy over brute force and tanking. Mix up the r1s, charged attacks and most importantly the weapon arte to keep your foe under pressure, give yourself more openings this way.

What the ***** from. Stop making weapons that would be absolutely perfect on a faith build not scale with faith at all. Like honestly are y'all stupid? Why would you design these weapons to look so holy and make one think it's for a faith build and then make it a dex/quality weapon. Absolutely stupid and ridiculous.

I hadn't used this until recently, but now it seems to be an okay weapon. While the damage can be found lacking, the weapon art more than makes up for it, especially since it also has the ability to scoop shields. Because this also counts as a thrust weapon, it takes advantage of bonus damage from doing Ripostes. Additionally, this sword is longer than most straight swords, matching the Irithyll Straight Sword in length. All in all, this sword is a niche weapon, dealing high damage in certain situations with amazing utility, but performing sub-par without skilled use.

Why even bother with the "buff" to faith scaling if it's just gonna be an E? I don't...I can't wrap my head around it. Why, Fromsoft? Why? Starting at E and rising to a C? Fine. E to D? *****ty, but alright. But, staying at E and never rising? You might as well have not even changed a thing...
