This weapon, while infused with either Dark or Chaos, has the highest AR in the game (935), at 99 in STR, DEX, INT and FTH.

In Elden Ring I think Lordsworn's Straight Sword is the replacement. You can get it almost immediately, along with the brass shield (aka black knight shield, equipped with 69 guard boost/stability, so exact same stats and weight class). LSS also has the 110 critical mod like the LKS has, but I don't know about the range and motion value.

I think it's really cool that the comments here about this weapon have gotten a lot tamer and less toxic. It's a great weapon, especially if you are going for the element dark/chaos infusion. With C C A A scaling this is an insanely powerful weapon in both PvE and especially if used correctly in PvP. I mean the range and DPS, the extra critical bonus, 18 dex, 40/40 intel/faith, massive damage output. I've gotten creamed by this thing many times when I was new to the game, and I was a bit salty, lol. But I practiced on and on to git gud at parrying, and now, if you come at me with this, you best come correct. My parry shield, hornet ring, and chaos dagger are waiting. Cheers to everybody playing DS in 2023. And if you haven't yet, for PC users, check out the Convergence mod, it's pretty sick.

Ah the 2 thrusts on 2 heavy attacks are so good and fun. Can't stand the heavy thrust followed by heavy uppercut slash which plagues most straight swords. Elden ring did not learn properly

I'm farming this sword for my pyromancer and it doesn't drop f*ck. The knight under Tower of the wall bonfire have droped 6 crosbows and the armor set with several parts repeated and still not a single sword.

Hello DS3 player, I am come to you for a little favour, and I will carry this message to everywhere in DS3 community.
There is a glitch that allows you to summon white sign mad phantom in Gael’s Arena (Credit to Dashingsaint), if you keep Shira alived while she invade you (you can escape her simply sprint out her aggro range), you won’t trigger gael boss cutscene, and then you could put down you purple summon white sign or summon other white purple.
Thus, a new fight club is founded, an arena in a long lost dessert under the sunset sky which sprinkle with fainted galaxy.
If you’re watching this, kindly please help me share this and invite any ds3 enthusiast you known to this new fight club, your little effort would be much appreciated.
SL25+2, SL40+4, SL60+6, SL72+8, SL90+10, SL125 Meta, SL 351++, all SL range are acceptable.

My first character was a strength build, had a lot of fun with it. I heard a lot about dark builds and was told this was the weapon of choice that everyone hates facing, so naturally I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I never really have problems in PvP facing people with this weapon because I find straight swords real easy to parry. So i made a character based on using a dark and chaos version of this, (510 AR) popped a few extra points into strength so I could use the black knight shield figuring that would really tick people off and i have no idea what all the drama is about. I'm no doubt a noob with this build and using SS's in general, but I was getting parried left and right using this thing, and weapons that use the perseverance WA seem to be able to counter spammers if you are not good with parrying, although you should be if you do a look of dueling. I mean its definitely a good weapon, great reach and best SS moveset, really good on my Pyro in PvE but in PvP I thought it was pretty average, just like the long sword but with a longer range and slightly better moveset and scaling. Although the 110 critical definitely sets it apart. But I do not understand where the hate comes from and I was really trying to play like a punk too. hahahaha. I dunno, maybe if my skill level was higher I would do better with it, but i thought all the anger comes from this being a weapon that requires very little skill.

Perfect moveset, stance, buffable, long as sin. This thing is versatile even by straight sword standards. Miyazaki even stepped in to add an extra 10 critical before the game shipped, the complete lunatic

Faith builds benefit more from the sunlight straight sword, if you are playing faith you are going to want to use SSS not LKS

sidenote: lightning infusion spell and dark infusion spell is definitely the way to go when using SSS

Am I missing something here? After running a bunch of calcs the long sword outdamages this on pretty much every build and has the same r1 r1 r2 combo. Idk how accurate this wiki’s range testing is but according to it, long sword only has .9 units less range.

I don’t know man. Between all that and the lower usage requirements LKSS just kinda seems like a worse long sword. Though LKSS does look cooler for fashion

you guys call it meta because everyone uses it, but it gets outperformed by ringed knight straight sword (quality build) or gotthard's twinswords (any build) in the hands of a good player. and that's just mentioning other straight swords, there are other much stronger setups (hello pkcs and murky :))))))))) )
it is good, but far from overpowered, simply a strong all-rounder that is decently effective even if wielded by a bad player, and very popular for this reason.

I know all you baby wannabe try hards think this is the ultimate meta weapon, but it's actually complete trash compared to the all mighty PKCS! While all you LKSS scrubs are mindlessly r1 spamming away with this inferior "meta weapon" that's way slower than the PKCS and going for predictable parries I'll easily out space you and dead angle my swings to avoid your obvious noob parries then point you down after easily killing you with my PKCS to show you what the real meta weapon is!
