Ringed Knight Straight Sword is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3. It is part of The Ringed City.

Straight sword wielded by the Ringed Knights.
The arms of early men were forged in the Abyss, and betray a smidgen of life.

For this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon these swords, and those who possessed them.

Skill: Ember
Stand ready with the timeworn blade as it restores its ancient brilliance and reignites a short-lived flame. From this stance transition to normal or strong attack.

Notes and Tips:

  • Cannot be Infused or Buffed.
  • Reinforced with Twinkling Titanite.
  • Weapon art is parryable.
  • Walking speed when holding skill button. Stamina regen is slow while skill button is depressed.
  • You don't have to wait for the sword to ignite before using the weapon arts.
  • When you run out of FP, the sword still ignite while holding the skill button, but not when you swing it.

Location/Where to Find

  • The Ringed City: From the Ringed City Streets bonfire, head out into the swamp and head straight, past several Locust Men. Defeat or run by the HUGE enemy here and bank right, and up a small hill. It is here laying on a corpse near a Locust Man.

I Know many think its good and im not necessarily saying its bad, but i just don't see the point of using it damage wise, all around low damage feels slower then other straight swords only thing for it is the WA which is pretty bad ass until those bastards with the duel ultra greatswords, or any UGS for that matter knock you out of it

You can actually use weapon art in combos like an r1 to a WA r1or r2. You can even do a roll and then relese the WA r1 instead of a rolling attack but not a WA r2

I've noticed that this weapon is better then it seems in the longer run of things, it has a good swing speed and the small amount of fire damage that it deals works good on the undead/mobs of darksouls because it triggers an "I'm on fire" animation that causes them to flail around for a while; works more like a building up level of burning more then anything from what I've noticed from it. The weapon itself is quite parry-able unfortunately, even npcs get a good parry in sometimes. Regardless of that the weapon has seen me up to NG3 and hasn't given me any real trouble in PVP or PVE as it has a low stamina usage that allows a good 5+ swings with decent stagger rate.

But hey, that's my gist of the weapon; give the thing a try yourselves rather then selling yourself to somebodies words on how good or bad something is. This IS DarkSouls after all, anything is a weapon, good or bad; doesn't really matter when a person can beat the game at level 1 with a torch.

This is a pretty interesting weapon.

It's base damage is worse than a refined long sword at 40/40 and worse than a heavy long sword at 60/20.
And on top of that you have the split damage issue, which makes your effective damage even lower.

I don't think this is a particularly good PvE weapon, but in PvP the WA staggers and can deal a lot of damage if it gets the whole combo.

Might wanna change the directions, the way y'all described it's across the swamp when it's really just hanging a right all together. Thanks again for*****ty descriptions suxtralife

I am relatively certain a large portion of the weapon's damage transforms into fire when using the weapon art. If someone could test wether or not the faith and int scalings change whilst using the weapon art that would be great.

Honestly, this sword is not. With a full 40&/40 quality build, it gets about 417AR, but 20 the AR comes as fire damage. This means that due to double resistances, you only have about 400 AR, 13 less than the Lothric Knight Sword. Lothirc Knight Sword also has a thrusting 2HR2 and a shield break weapon art, which is much more usable than this swords slashing 2HR2 and its useless weaponart that has no poise, and doesnt damage or stagger for*****.

tl;dr: This sword is garbage, might even get buffed!

I honestly think this weapon are should have been the Firelink Greatswords Weapon art, just look at Soul of Cinders AOE attack in the second half of the fight, they mimic each other.
