it's actually so easy to kill pkcs users with this. they don't expect you to have hyper armor, then they eat 800 damage and start panic rolling

Arguably the best Strength weapon in the game. Fast hyper-armor attacks, solid damage, thrust for counter hits. Consistently rips the Pontiff a new boi-hole in seconds. Only real drawback is the mediocre reach and crowd control, but outside of those situations, it's golden.

When they first patched hammers to give hyper armor this weapon was a laugh at pontiff's. Leo ring bonus damage and roll catching had people not in the know running for their lives.

Why there is written that Fire Infusion scales? B strenght and E dex? Wtf, fire removes scaling...am I missing something?

This weapon is GREAT. First off galvalize is better that perseverance simply because it frees a ring slot (cloranthy) and doesnt rely on green grass, and because anyone with 2 brain cells can know to back away from player that activate their 10 seconds poise boost. Perfect counter to murky and pkcs

Scales best with sharp, has 468 AR at 70 dex. Pair this with the fact that weapon has mace moveset and hyperarmor, THRUST damage for dealing p h a t counter damage with leo ring, and it is buffable, you really do have an absolute beast of a weapon right here. The weapon art + chloranthy + green blossom + grass crest will give you a combo that grants essentially instant stam regen, which is very nice. It is a wonder this weapon is rarely seen.

Any info on what the actual range (shield poke distance) is on this weapon? I get hit by it in PVP at a range where I'd be safe from most ultras. It's a very frustrating weapon to go up against.

This is basically the mace minus the poise plus counter damage. And the mace is a great weapon, I just need to remind myself sometimes that the WA doesn't grant poise.

This bad boy is an unassuming beast. Perfect for my deprived sorcerer build. Only had to pop two points in strength and presto. Infused with crystal with an A scaling with my intelligence, this cleaves through nearly all enemies with ease.

If the Hollowslayer Sword is the poise machine gun, then the warpick is the thrusting poise cannon. This thing two handed has an exceptionally deceptive range and attacks farther than most would think. Roll catches like a champ.

Does anyone know if this thing has hyperarmour? It's supposedly better than a Mace but if it doesn't have hyperarmour I'd rather use the mace tbh

This weapon is actually better than the mace on a STR build, and also works excellently on a DEX build. The only downside of using this instead of a Mace (for STR), is that it's WA is Galvanize, and it Does thrust damage (which is actually better a lot of the time, when combined with the amazing hyperarmor on this weapon).

I know this is suppose to be about the warpick, but could you imagine if they would have gave us like a ball and chain weapon? Or a big flail? What that would have been like? lol....

This thing is the bane of all shields. Seriously. Put an elemental infusion on it (dark, crystal, lightning) on top of the pierce damage it also has elemental damage piercing. So you could do up to 200-400 damage with two R1s THROUGH a shield. I always keep this as a backup for that purpose. Sure other things have good piercing, but this has good hyper armor on top of that.

Good damage and speed, good range, rollcatches, has hyperarmour, can do counterattacks. I wish it had perseverance, but it is still close to be perfect

Was my weapon of choice in ds1, is my weapon of choice now. Thrusting damage on a hammer and gets to keep the moveset.

Can someone tell me what the AR is at 12 strength 60 dex sharp infusion? I'm using the mugenmonkey AR calculator but it can't be right since 60 str heavy is higher than 60 dex sharp, despite sharp having scaling in both strength and dex and heavy only having strength.

PS: if that calculator is to be believed, a 40/40 sharp infusion is stronger than a 40/40 refined infusion.

It actually pierces trough shields, i tested it on a havel's gs and did less damage than a scythe but higher tan a shotel.

The R1 steps into extra range that most don't expect. Good for rollcatching after blocking a hit or after rolling away from one. Galvanize is severely underestimated as PVP players on the whole don't seem to expect the hyperarmor. Great for str/dex in refined or for less stat involvement, heavy infused gives 502 AR 2H at 66str plus a resin for 597 which I'm playing now. All around solid weapon.

Certainly comparable to the mace, but I've found the hitlock potential is a tad more reliable with this weapon, probably due to the fact that it's a piercing weapon, not striking. I think it also circumvents shields kind of like the scythe or harpe considering its perpendicular trajectory, though I haven't tested it on enemies with stronger shields (I typically stay away from short-range weapons when dealing with Cathedral Knights, lol). Sharp +10 at 80 STR/75 DEX does pretty intense damage, though, better than I've ever gotten with the mace's infusions. I'd also wager it's superior to the pickaxe on account of its higher speed and better roll-catching, and with less reliance on the Galvanize skill.

This weapon destroys spammers in PVP if you know how to use it. As you may know the third hit on R1 combo while two-handed is awesome rollcatcher. Use this weapon with leo ring and you're guaranteed to wreck some players that doesn't know how to fight against it.

Be warned though, at low levels do not try to poise trough attacks as it requires high poise to get trough few hits, instead time your attacks perfectly and you're almost guaranteed to hit them really hard, especially if you're buffing and wielding it two handed. Many players have habit to spam R1 so when you time your first attack perfectly you can take people down with three precise hits in one single combo.

Weapon has good rollcatcher in single R1 blows also, when enemy is rolling away time your attack pefectly and you'll gona hit them almost every time if you time it correctly. After getting rollcatch hit with single two-handed light attack just walk towards them and hit them again as they try to roll away.

This weapon is one of the best weapons to have when invading, due the ability to punish rollers and chuggers.

10/10 would pick again

It's wierd that the Warpick doesn't have the attack-moves like Club or Heysel's Pick, the mace-flailing you do with it looks so strange to me.
Like if it had the over-head hacking attack like what you'd think a Warpick would do, this weapon would make more sense to me atleast.
Oh well.
