Yorshka's Chime is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3.

A sacred chime belonging to Yorshka. Her brother, the former knight captain, presented her with this medium together with another gift: her name.
The ringing of the chime must have done much to soothe her loneliness.

Skill: Gentle Prayer
Recovers HP for a period of time, albeit extremely slowly. Works while equipped in either hand.

Notes and Tips:

  • Cannot be Infused or Buffed.
  • Reinforced with Titanite.
  • After 49 Faith, this Chime has the highest Spell Buff.
  • At 55 Faith, this Chime has a Spell Buff of 228, and 247 SB at 60 Faith.
  • The chime has to remain active in your hand for the weapon art to continue regenerating health.

I like to plunge the world into darkness, make the priestess mad from dark miracles, kill Horace to make Anri cry, kill Yuria of Londor to show that the dark lord is much more evil.
But there are 4 NPCs in this game that I refuse to kill: Onion Knight, Patches Carla and Yorshka.

I dont feel so bad about killing her more so than her story. Yorshka was secluded her entire life and knows almost nothing- save for etiquette, some mantras, and titles to call her family members. She's clueless about the world around her, doesn't even know she could leave the tower behind her.

          • Anonymous

Is there some sort of secret scaling with this chime that I'm not aware of? Using Caitha's Chime or Sunless with their high scaling with other miracles that aren't focused on dark are just meh, but with this, it just.. works well.

            • Anonymous

I'm upset that i have to kill Yorshka for the chime because I can't get darkmoon blade if I do. Gotta get me ears first then commit a murder.

Community's morality is questionable at best. You kill yhorshka, who leads arguably the worst covenant to ever exist in the trilogy, and everyone gets uppity because "muh feet fetish". But then you have Greirat who devotes his life to serve you for freeing him and you send him to his gruesome death in lothric castle every ng+ just for some crossbow bolts that goes "boom", and that is ok for you?

You deserve each and every middle finger elden ring gives to you.

                • Anonymous

Yall are some weirdos. Dont scroll they're basing morality on fiction. Kill the girl and you get a good Chime, new game plus bam shes back.

I annihilated that thot for this chime. But let’s be real… that stankfoot ***** didn’t deserve it anyway.

Idk what people means with the word "roleplay" when it comes to killing yorshka. Like, you kill her, you are bad at acting. That's bullsht.

I assure you every dedicated invader can make a damn good acting in that tower like samuel l. jackson did as jules in pulp fiction.

                        • Anonymous

If not for cheat engine item gib I would absolutely kill Yorshka every time I do a faith character. That being said, I wouldn't feel good about it. Kinda wish some Darkmoons would invade me over it but they got nerfed.

                          • Anonymous

The true proof of a concord kept, by a true darkmoon knight. Gwyndolin would've never wanted to turn his punishers of sin into babysitters of the useless.

Don't bother having morals in a world shaped by deception and lies. The fire fades, and so will the world that was molded with it.

Guys, she is just a game character. And not your weird waifu.
And even if she were real. I bet she wouldn't choose some weebie neckbeards who are drooling over her. She would surely be embarrassed.

RPing a Cleric who serves the gods. Never gets this chime.

RPing a murderous Dark Overlord. Has a whole sackful of these chimes.

It’s worth noting that at 60 faith going from +9 to +10 with this chime grants you only a single point of spellbuff. As opposed to the 3-10 gained with previous levels. (I think the earlier ones gave more but I could be wrong.)

I think yall forgetting one large detail about the dark souls universe. You can still kill yorshka in your world for her to be alive in someone else's. Ds3 has proven that each person, even npcs, have their own world. Evidenced by the fact you can be summoned by npcs. You can still be immersed and think logically guys.

Or ya know, ya can think how you want and let everyone think how they want. A parallel between the first point I made. It's called conceptualising, and dark souls is very good at this. Imagine, a "it's just a game" game teaching you something. As long as your having fun, immersed or not, thats the main thing.

I made the mistake of killing Yorshka for this chime, thinking it would give me higher spell buff at my FTH level (can't recall but it was 30 or 40, I think 40) but Canvas will give a higher spell buff at that lvl, not a huge mistake but annoying if I decide I want darkmoon stuff later

                                        • Anonymous

Can you still get the Darkmoon blade miracle if you kill her I don’t want to have to waste hours of farming proofs for nothing

                                          • Why would you NOT kill her? Do you think she's gonna jump out of your computer and say "Oh, thank you! Thank you so much for sparing my life!"? Be ****ing realistic.

                                            • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU KILLED A FICTIONAL VIDEO GAME GIRL WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thank you, kind red spirit invader who drop this without and leave without killing me.
(I didn't memorize the ign because I was scared ****less that whole time)

                                                • Brothers, I have made the mod (quite some time ago), that allows you to keep Yorshka safe and alive, while still obtaining the Yorshka's Chime, as a Good Alignment character (nexusmods_.com/darksouls3/mods/539). Mod can be used without fear of the ban (read the description). Cheers.

With blood, sweat and tears I worked my way up to get this chime. Doesn't matter who you are, I was getting that chime regardless of who has it.

                                                    • Anonymous

Is it just me? Or you no longer can upgrade chimes/talismans.
I see absolutly 0 info about this topic, no one seems to be talking about it, however Andre just isn’t giving me an option to upgrade it.
I came back from a year old break, and started all over again. Am I missing something?

                                                      • Anonymous

Before crying over her death (and aside of her being just a product of programming), take a moment to consider the mistake her very existance represents. Also, leaving her alive is not a better option.

                                                        • Anonymous

I think actually killing her is pretty much considerate, she has been alone *****ing trapped in a tower her whole life because someone decided to lock her and then became hollow. She is starving but seems not to be able to die of hunger, given the choices, killing her its the most mercyfull way of dealing with with her, as i said before, she is waiting eternally for someone who is not to come, starving, freezing, unable to move or enjoy life besides ringing that bell. Its sad, but its not like we did this to her, or like we have another option to really help her but to finish her agonizing life. I also want to say that i think the people who is being salty about those who dont want to kill her should just relax a little bit, its a videogame, indeed, but what is the point on videogames if you dont really get inmersed on them? Dark souls have a very big and deep lore and a lot of the characters, at least in my opinion, have some hearttouching stories that are meant to make you feel things. With solaire for example, the first time i played dark souls i discovered that the stories of the NPCs could be changed because of a friend playing at the same time with diferent stories, just because of that i had to repeat the whole game not to get solaire mad (had to chek how in the wiki after the second failed attempt, pretty *****ed up to discover i think). What im trying to say with this, is that you cant blame someone for getting into the game like most of us used to do when we were younger, because that is what makes videogame the experience they are

                                                          • Anonymous

I killed her once and then never again! I even use her chime because I had to kill DS3 Best girl. Now I'm in NG+7 and her Chime helped me many times.

                                                            • Anonymous

Tbh I don't get the "just use this, use that, don't kill her". If you have a faith build this is the best you can get. Besides she's a lone useless character whose covenant is the absolute worst thing in the game (don't get me started on that) that *used* to serve a purpose cycles before her. Kill her and get the chime, the corvian at the start of Ashes of Ariandel is the best waifu anyways.

                                                              • Anonymous

Yorshka's Chime: "At 60 FTH it has a spellbuff of 247." - Kill the innocent creature. Required Faith 30. Saint's Talisman: "At 60 FTH it has a spellbuff of 242." - No need to kill the innocent creature, can be obtained in early game (sewer at Undead Settlement). Required Faith 16. The choice is obvious.

                                                                • Anonymous

"We unkindled must put our duties first" just as siegward said. Save morals for when the natural course gets restored.

                                                                  • What many of you overlook is the game has also a moral level. You have to make a couple of decisions which goes essentialy like this "become more powerfull or stay a good guy". Yuria is the best example for this but also dealing with Patches (the scavenger, killer!) is a questionable decision. Giving dark tomes to Irina of Carim to get early dark miracles another one. Sending Greirat into his certain death just to get those sweet explosive crossbow bolts? Pretty hardcore imo! (btw spare me your crocodile tears, you knew what you did) And killing Yorshka just to get that sweet extra buff...? Good luck trying too argue your sorry a** out of this one way ticket to hell.

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

The majority of people: aww shes too cute we can't Kill her! Literally the most*****tiest invaders: UGGH I HATE HER GANKING SCUM Literally psychopaths: Killed her 7 times lmao Me a loyal follower of lord gwyn: is she a dragon abomination that needs to be purged or a member of gwyns family?

                                                                        • Anonymous

                                                                          • Anonymous

                                                                            • She's an Abomination. Kept locked up, alone and ignorant long before Aldrich by her "brother." Get your Darkmoon rewards first and then spend the next couple days telling her stories, playing games, and spending time with her. Once she falls asleep bring out the Storyteller's Staff. Good night, Yorshka.

                                                                              • Anonymous

Kind of stupid how slabs make basically no difference on so many chimes/catalysts/etc. The 60 faith spellbuff on this thing at +9 is 246, and at +10 it's only 247. At least make it somewhat appealing.

                                                                                • Anonymous

I can't bring myself to kill almost any NPC unless they're just downright evil, how could I possibly bring myself to kill a CHILD?!

                                                                                  • Anonymous

The fact that the item description states that her "brother", presumably Gwyndolin, gave her her name gives the theory that she's just a Dark Sun illusion a lot of backing.

                                                                                    • Nice work forcing players to go full-blown Petrus of Thorolund and murder a sweet and adorable girl as the only way to obtain this unique chime, 'cause they couldn't just give you this piece by leveling with the Blue Sentinels instead of the far less useful Darkmoon Ring.

Gwyndolin proved to be able to create life like physical illusions. Yorshka is probably one of his aswell based loosely on the image of Priscilla or of what he envisioned her as a grown up.

                                                                                          Welp

                                                                                          • Anonymous

Best chime for buffing weapons with miracles. Faith does increase your spell buff based on the chimes faith scaling, and in turn increases damage from buffing. The math works like this for Lightning and Darkmoon blade miracles:

                                                                                            .95*(spell buff)=attack rating increase.

That means 95% of your spell buff will become either lightning or magical damage. At a 60 faith investment that gives almost 230 damage per hit before damage reductions and absorptions. Or in reality, about 95-125 to enemy players after if they fill all their armor slots. Needless to say, best used on fast weapons.

                                                                                            • Anonymous

I've got 50 fth. and Sunless seems to give a much higher buff than the other 2. so why do people keep saying that the other 2 are better than Sunless?

                                                                                                  • Anonymous

It has a whole 14 lower Spell Buff at 60 FTH and can be obtained as either a starting item for the Cleric class or dropped infrequently from the hollows in the start of the game, before the Gundyr fight. It's a small sacrifice in healing/damage in exchange for a clear conscience.
