There is something really confusing about the level design in this game. You go through them like a labyrinth and you can't remember most of it a day later.

The main route and optional areas are mixed way too indifferently, I had no idea where to go a couple times in DS3. The same with DLC as well, you can enter it too easily without knowing it's actually only DLC area. The distinction should have been a bit more clear. I had none of these issues in DS1 or 2.

Also in some parts you have no idea at all what to do f.e. jumping down from high eventhough game has fall damage that normally would lead to death. Plus some silly gimmick fights like Yhorm.

The Lock-On cam has serious issues in some bossfights where I ask myself if it's intentional or if they haven't playtestet the game.

The game is fun don't get me wrong but there is a lot of scope for improvement imo.

2024 is here. Like you I played these games later off than most. Eldon ring open the door and from there demons souls was natural since I have a PS5... I jumped on Shakiro but couldn't get the hang of it. I literally started that game five times before it grabbed me and I fell in love with it like all these others by FormSoft... Dark souls 3 followed and I was amazed at the intricate level designs and the depth of the mechanics... The different builds, weapons, even the story wasn't that bad. From DS3 I played by bloodborne and again above and beyond my expectations even at lower FPS. Once you got used to that it was easy to see why it too was classic. I'm now playing dark souls 2 after playing dark souls 1.. honestly I think dark souls 2, and I know this goes against the communities opinion... Has some of the best level designs in the series. No matter where you are in your journey... I think all of us will agree a souls game is just a souls game. A FORMSOFT game is an experience

You are missing some places. Like the swamp area, and the forest before it, the one Road of Sacrifices leads into.

Someone should fix the link for the Ringed City to redirect to the location's page rather than the DLC. Not a serious issue, but it's been a nuisance a couple of times now.

Don't forget the Demon Ruins location, I know it's optional but as a player I would like to know that it exists.

                • Anor Londo is only a bonfire in Irythyll of the Boreal Valley and not a full area like in Dark Souls. I recommend removing it from the locations page to reduce confusion.

Ive seen some rumors here and there that miyazaki had been teasing that the last major hidden area has yet to be found. I do not know if this is true or not, but it would make sense if you have all area's that are shown above, and go in to the Fast Travel, you can clearly see that there is room for 1 more "Thumbnail" for a new Area. Would be awesome if it is true.

Just wondering what peoples average soul level for completing the game was. So far I am in Farron at lvl 35 (beat boss at 34 just farming gear n stuff). I feel like I dont see many people around in the woods at all.

Who else is still enjoying Lothric,15 game play hours later?? This is my first play of the DS games and I'm just taking my time, learning the ropes and strategy. And dying plenty of times. Am I alone?

Does anyone know why the fire keeper is not appearing at the bonfire so I can kneel to her and get on with the game?

I love that Anor Londo is in the game, but I also don't understand why. Isn't this place called Lothric? So why is Anor Londo there?

I've watched nearly the entire game and have seen plenty of PvP and locations. I think the hot spot should be the beginning bridge in Irithyll. Other ideas?
