Notes

  • Cast time is roughly 2 seconds.
  • Lasts 30 seconds.
  • Highly effective against red eyed elite mobs.
  • Unlike in Dark Souls 1, Rapport is a ranged spell.
  • Can potentially miss fast-moving enemies.
  • There isn't a limit to the total number of creatures you can have affected by Rapport.
  • There is no known way to increase the time an enemy is influenced.
  • Affected enemies:
    • Will not target you or any of your allies.
    • Are considered your allies, and can be buffed and healed by Miracles that affect allies. And if they are doing a buff while you are rapporting them you will receive said buff i.e Hollow Priest's stronger sacred oath which stacks with normal sacred oath.
    • Cannot be locked-on to, but can still be backstabbed.
    • Can still hurt you if you happen to be in the way of their attacks.
    • Will react to invaders and attack them.
  • Can affect the following enemies:
Pyromancies
Acid Surge  ♦  Black Fire Orb  ♦  Black Flame  ♦  Black Serpent  ♦  Boulder Heave  ♦  Bursting Fireball  ♦  Carthus Beacon  ♦  Carthus Flame Arc  ♦  Chaos Bed Vestiges  ♦  Chaos Storm  ♦  Fire Ball  ♦  Fire Orb  ♦  Fire Surge  ♦  Fire Whip  ♦  Fireball  ♦  Firestorm  ♦  Flame Fan  ♦  Floating Chaos  ♦  Great Chaos Fire Orb  ♦  Great Combustion  ♦  Iron Flesh  ♦  Poison Mist  ♦  Power Within  ♦  Profaned Flame  ♦  Profuse Sweat  ♦  Sacred Flame  ♦  Seething Chaos  ♦  Toxic Mist  ♦  Warmth

Should add Ringed Knights and Harald Knights from the Ringed City as well, I believe. I've tried several times and had no success charming these guys. :(

      • Anonymous

The Lothric Priests in Lothric Castle putting their buff on the Knights makes them immune to Rapport. So not only does it buff their atk and defensive stats, but also making them immune to Rapport which makes it even more cancer if you cant kill them before they buff.

This spell is so underrated. it makes the entire lothric castle area a breeze and you can farm the golden fat angels really easy with this. Every build should have at least 1 spell slot for this.

I dont know what it was, but like, I invaded someone in the ringed city streets, and there was a red-eyed ringed knight that swapped between spear and sword, and he was sort of invis (you saw the eyes and a reddish whisp effect) and he ONLY ran after me andthe mobs. He cleared out the harald knights with ease and 1 shot my 44 vigor ass. Pretty sure he regen'd too. and this was not a 30 second thing.

            • Anonymous

You can get a buff from the hollow priests in lothric castle which is a stronger sacred oath. Commonly called secret oath.

Wish it existed in Elden Ring. My favorite playthrough of DKS3 was using Rapport and a crossbow in a Tyber Zann cosplay build. "Bribing" enemies and supporting your new friends at range was a very unique playstyle. Ah well.

Rapport only works partially on Millwood Knights, they can be affected, but can and will still attack you, and then fall under the spell again. It is still a worthwhile ploy considering how tough they can be, but don't be surprised if they still slap you once, or twice.

This spell makes Lothric Castle and the nightmare below it a piece of cake. CANT BELIEVE IT FKING WORKS ON PUS OF MAN OMG :D

Absolutely worthless, you can never tell if it will work but you can kind of tell, ask yourself "Would it be useful to rapport this enemy?" If yes then it wont work

                      • Anonymous

Sheesh, It would probably be Op if rapport worked on ringed knights. Thanks for the info on which enemies can be rapported.

This pyromancy basically makes the ashes of ariandel a easy walkthrough. Works wonders with the milwood people making it easier to fight them. A must when starting this DLC

If anyone is interested, this does not work on the giants in irithyll, learned that after trying to create a mordekaiser build, he is deleted now...

                            • Anonymous

I'm probably alone in doing this, but when I'm invading and the host casts this near me, I always pretend I'm under the spells effects and attack any reds that may be with me.

I love this spell, it’s nice to have and is very useful. I only wish you were allowed to use it when invading, like when the host uses of seed of a giant. But it’s just one small problem with this amazing spell.

Love this and the sprawl out gesture to mess with invaders- watching red phantoms get smashed by a cathedral knight or corvian knight never gets old

So you can use Rapport on DEMONS, but Black Knights and Silver Knights are just a little too "OG" to be affected.

Love this spell for orchestrating knightly duels in Lothric castle. So much fun watching them battle each other to the death and makes a great drinking game for Drunk Souls where you take a shot every time your man is victorious.

How to beat Dark Souls 3 enemies
Step 1 : Wear slumbering dragoncrest ring
Step 2 : Use hidden body
Step 3 : Rapport enemies so they don't spread them cheeks when your hidden body runs out. I mean, you could also kill them or make them fight more enemies, I infer?

                                        Problem, fighters?

Doesn't work on Harrowed or Ringed Knights, but works on the small, robed hollows (both the ones with daggers, and the curse crystal on their back)

I make it a personal rule to NEVER enter the painted world without this pyromancy. It’s so fun watching the Millwood Knights destroy each other!

                                            • Anonymous

I honestly feel bad for using this spell with how op it is. once you rapport an enemy you can literally beat them to death and theyll just stand there and take it. great for farming those 3 gold winged knights

                                              • Anonymous

Buggy af, but when it works its amazing.
Got summoned to defend someone from invader, he runs to some millwood knights by the snowy tower, he didn't expect to be the one to be crushed by them instead of me, feels amazing to beat invaders with their own cheap tricks

                                                • Anonymous

Doesn't work on those gross Wretches (the failed dragon-things in the dungeon that look like Gollum), nor on Gargoyles. Does work on caged hollows, leech-spitting hollows, giant leech-covered crawling things, and invisible Irithyll Slaves.

                                                  • Anonymous

Obviously more commonly encountered enemies, most of all Humanoids should be "enthralled" over things like Dark and Bosses but this appears to be very inconsistant in it's effects and wonky AI (freakin shocker.) It should have a visual effect leaving towards the target. For common sense reasons, good to know Rapport is kind of bad since "Yearn" won't be making a come back. Sad that aiming it was better in DkS1 as well. So much for the idea of progression towards quality.

                                                    • Anonymous

Doesnt seam to work on chaos demons. The ones that summon the flame orbs that shoot you with 4 arms. Tested by Sheba in smoldering lake. Nor most undead such as skeletons in the catacombs. But does work on the worm in smoldering lake though it does nothing to benefit. Some enemies it will show the effect of working but they can fight through it for a while before it takes affect or will not attack and fall back in a ready to fight stance until you approach them similar to the corvian. Doesnt work on giants as it's not possible so far to target their hit box. Can be cast first then used auto target to quickly jump your target if you know where they are as it takes 2-3 secs to point. There are some mobs that it will work on and then it will quickly be removed or they can be cured by another mob target. Could be lore based or resistance to curses. That's all from -Sheba hope it helps

                                                      • Anonymous

Also a note: I tested it on the clone in Pontiff Sulyvahns bossfight. Doesn't work, sadly. If anyone can prove me wrong, please tell me.

Seems to cancel immediately if you deal ANY amount of damage to the controlled mob. Stood on a roof looking down on two corvian knights - raported one of them who then happily hacked his buddy to death - as I jumped down I bumped into it dealing 2 damage - happily hacked me to death

                                                          • Anonymous

It would be even funnier if they just went on a rampage and started killing everything in their path, more aggressively than normal with buffed stats, including attacking us and random nearby breakable things, then jumped to their death when the effects were at an end, or fell asleep.

                                                            • Anonymous

Love Jedi Mind Trick, or Bezerker Darts in Assassin's Creed. Great stuff. Some of the best game play around.

                                                              • Anonymous

Such a broken spell. You know those powerful knight-cleric that has a huge ass weapon (and AR) like 1000 HP and about 50% resist to everything? Yeah just hit him with this, which is since the spell range is longer than his aggro range, in one quick cast.

Now change your equipment (as he patiently stands there) to either farming gear or recovery gear (IE focus regen on critical hit) and stab him to bits. Turns the toughest non-boss enemies into pinatas.

And that's not even taking into account pitting them against each other! Normally facing 2 Lotric Knights at once is nigh-hopeless, but cast this, then hit the survivor with a feather and GG you win.

It's like From accidently incorporated a cheat code into pyromancy.

                                                                • A very solid utility spell. Very useful against the knights in lothric castle and Duke's Archives. Also against millwood knights in the DLC. I kind of wish the casting time was quicker, but still a fun gimmick.

                                                                  • Anonymous

The red eye elite you encounter after you kill the dragon on the bridge and raise the gate in lothric, will not become friendly, it will become frenzy and attack every *****ing thing that moves including you. Just tried it 5 times to confrim.

                                                                    • Anonymous

I really want to make a Serah Farron (final fantasy 13-2) cosplay/build using this. I'd use this, a bow and i'd occasionally two hand a straight sword since she uses a bowblade. Naturally i'd try to make a character that looks like her, though unfortunately her haircut isn't an option... I can imagine summoning in a friend who is doing a Noel cosplay and taming a random monster to form the ff 13-2 party.

                                                                      • Anonymous

Thought it's worth mentioning even though there are only 3 of them in the game; because it works on the Flame Demons and they are even fewer. :p

                                                                        • Anonymous

                                                                          • Anonymous

I tested it on the Golden Winged Knight in Grand Archives by trying to rapport him with the railing between us. He didn't get rapported. Then I moved sidewise so that the path between us was clear and it worked. Anybody confirm this?

                                                                            • Anonymous

                                                                              • Anonymous

                                                                                • Anonymous

It's easier to list the enemies that this spell DOESN'T work on, because it affects so many, even extremely powerful enemies like the Red Eyed Lothric Knights in the upper Grand Archives, and the Ascended Winged Knights.I've come to love this spell whilst going back through areas I've already cleared, but it would also be incredibly useful for exploring new areas too, so I'll definitely be bringing it into the DLCs. Being able to quickly charm a dangerous enemy and pit it against its allies has become one of my favourite ways to clear some areas.Rapport can turn incredibly risky encounters like the Grand Archives Corvian Ganksquad, or the 4 Lothric Knights on the bridge, into almost unfairly easy gift-wrapped loot-crates. Rapport a couple Corvians, or the Lance-wielding Knights and watch as they tear the rest of their group apart, leaving maybe a single heavily injured target remaining. You can apply this same strategy pretty much all over the game, the only area where there are enemies that are majority immune to Rapport would be Archdragon Peak.If you truly want to break this game's PvE, you should definitely consider working this into your standard Hidden Body + Spook combo.

                                                                                  • Anonymous

It will help with the killing, as well. Or you can just Rapport one tough enemy and kill it with your weapon. It will not attack and you can save FP.

                                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                                      • Anonymous

                                                                                        • Anonymous

                                                                                          • Anonymous
