Important question: Why is this the one set of boss armor the Shrine Handmaid doesn't recover to sell to you? Hell, she even recover's Wolnir's crown from the ABYSS to sell, but this set just lies where it falls, leaving you to go get it yourself.

I didn't need to rest at the bonfire to make it spawn. I killed the boss, looked in my inventory to see what the doll thing was that the boss dropped, and when I closed my inventory I saw the loot ready to be picked up, it had the deacon set. I don't think it was there immediately, unless I just didn't notice it right away when the boss died.

Good stats for such a light armor set, surprisingly high poise, so it would be a good caster set, but it's just a smidgen too heavy to stay below 30% equip load, unless you go completely without melee weapon (or use Demon's Scar I guess, but that's not so readily available when progressing through the game for the first time).

I don't like the colors, it would have looked better in the bluish purple the decons in Aldrich's chamber wore. Least then it would have looked nice to work with in jeryrigging a Hexer look and/or a Dark Spell caster.

Other then that, it's a really awesome looking outfit for fashion Souls and dark sorcery resistance.

On mine, I replace the crown with the Dark Wraith Mask and use the maidens gloves...it's a work in progress, still trying out different ideas. What I really need is the warlocks mask from DS2, then it look really cool!
