You know, instead of arguing whether MattPatt is wrong or right, why don't we just discuss what the unknown Blackhand member used as his weapon. Gotthard uses twin straight swords while Kamui uses daisho (katana and wakizashi), so what could the 3rd be using? Since they're assassins, wouldn't twin daggers be the possible choice? Or maybe twin curved swords?

Hey guys I have a theory, MAYBE they deliberately made the lore of Darks souls as convoluted and mysterious as possible (Like a million other games) to provoke theories and discussions just for the sake of theories and discussions, and that all of you people insulting eachother over these insignificant details is just proof of how EVERYBODY is brave when they sit behind a keyboard.

Something I don't understand is why the developers left Gotthards body blinking? Like they are genius programmers so it would be easier for them to keep his eyes closes instead of coding them to blink every now and then. Maybe they were going to bring him back somehow in a DLC but decided to release something completely different and were too lazy to close his damn eyes. Who knows? All I'm saying is they spend hours, days, weeks, months programming every little detail about this game... Meaning they would have had to spent hours or days or even weeks making a 'dead Gotthard' model to lay down on the ground. Surely they would have noticed his eyes open and blinking? Everyone is arguing about Mattpats new video and how it's wrong. Read the trivia of the hunters ring. It's not confirmed that the dead body is the third black hand. Only a theory that it is. So stop getting butthurt about a theory when a theory is the only thing you use to argue against him.

Just saying that the armor description says it's given to honor hunters who served multiple generations of royalty. I highly doubt that....

1. The royal family for generations only ever had 3 immortal black hands through the generations.

2. That there aren't a bunch of other Hunters who just haven't met the qualifications of a black hand.

Before you people think Matpats theory is correct...let me lecture you.

If you read the GEAR properly.
"Attire of hunters known as the King's Black Hands. A black cape covers leather armor, shrouding the wearer in darkness" The hunters ARE the black hands. Let that say in your damn head. There is NO other rank of hunter besides black hand and before you put that "Black Hand was the title established to honor hunters" Notice the "To"...it's not given to Honourable hunters...it's "TO" honor them for their job AKA black hands = hunter.

Okay, you with me? Glad we are on the same page.

Now you find the "Hunter's Ring" on a corpse and considering there are only 3 hunters/black hands, and we already know two, that would mean that the corpse HAD to have been the 3rd hunter/black hand.

Now do you see why Matpats theory is COMPLETELY wrong. Even Vaati agrees for crying out loud. There is NO WAY in HELL that he is a black hand.

Please don't listen to Matpat as he is one of the worst theorist out there which barely puts any proper research into the topics he wishes to "theorise" on. He puts us theorists to shame D:<

Sort of looks like Eileen's set from Bloodborne, just the chest I mean. The general shape of the armor is like that of the Crowfeather Garb and has the long black cape. Also the description of the armor uses the word "hunter" a lot. I'm not saying it's spot on but just reminiscent.

head is similar to the Assassin's coif (with the addition of the hat on top)and body is Assassin's armor with a longer cloack.so you can finish the set with assassin's boots and gloves if you're into looks

After killing the gank squad in the Grand Archives most top floor, you can purchase this set through the shrine handmaiden.Pretty late game though.
