So I was embered and all, haven't touched wolnir, and he doesn't invade, keep in mind that I've made two characters, and at the time of this post, they're also the ones I've both finished the game with, and this guy won't invade. (tested both, nothing happened, wolnir alive, embered, but nothing, no summons)

This armor is way too similar to Lapp's. Their combined elemental and physical defense values are only 1.1 point different, they have only .3 points difference in poise, and they have the exact weight. It's just like for lapp's armor they just chose to take away fire absorption and put it into strike.

If you're having trouble fighting Tsorig in the Smouldering Lake, you can run past where yoh find him and lure the black knight across the bridge. It will chase you to him amd they'll hammer each other. Tsorig will beat it pretty quickly but the knight will get a few good hits in and you can kill them both while they duke it out.

Works perfectly for my hybrid build and allows for a staff, a dragon slayers great shield, and even the black knights ultra greatsword at max carry capacity.

Id say the Exile gauntlets and leggings work better but this is and for will forever be some sexy armor

For its weight, this armor has some really good damage reduction and (((poise))). Its poise is just about enough to make you tank through a single hit of the heaviest weapons without being staggered (provided you are mid-swing yourself) while its weight (while using Havel's ring and ring of favor) is just about under what is needed to use the heaviest weapons in the game or a greatshield+lighter 2hander combo without exceeding 100% equip load or spending points in VIT.


If you have access to the best rings in the game, they can make this armor a great choice for a quality build either at SL 120 or for a twink, and allow you to get this great protection without investing in anything other than damage stats or HP. You can't really do this with Havel's or Smough's because they are far too heavy, and even Gundyr's will force you to limit yourself to less-than-heaviest weapons available, while any of these will be offering only marginal increases in protection (~1-2%) or a technically irrelevant increment in poise (such an increment that would not put you over the next treshold required to tank another hit of anything heavier than a 1H sword). However, since you already would be wearing such rings, each point of VIT would be more efficient, so it's not of much importance for high soul level builds, but dropping these items on a twink would allow you to use Ledo's alongside this armor at SL 26 for a depraved, which is an insane combination of protection and offensive capability at such a low level.

Stand on the bridge above the lava where one of the black knights is standing in the smoldering lake and throw an alluring skull into the lava nearby.Tsorig will run to it and attack it but will also jump straight in the lava without second thought and will usually die if you got the right distance from the safe floor.if its not enough to kill him just throw another one or go down and fight a weakened Tsorig on your own.
