I must be extremely lucky. I got the entire set after nine attempts. I was wearing the symbol of Avarice + Covetous Gold Serpent ring. I didn't need the shield.

I farmed the Black Knight at the Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire at SL60 using the Great Mace. I also used Homeward Bones for fast cycle times.

The drop rates for this are wack. I've been grinding out the ones after champion Gundyr forever and I've gotten literally nothing but 1 battleaxe and a ****ton of shields, pants, and gauntlets when I just want the torso

Found out a pleasing combination with the armor using Drakeblood helm, Gundyr's gauntlets and Morne's leggings. Pairing Black Knight Glaive with Heavy crossbow adds to the aesthetic.

I decided to grind this set for no apparent reason, and made an oath not to leave this faron keep perimeter bonfire until I got em all, realizing that the set is actually very rare.
if this is your first time playing the game, or first time actually trying to get this set just like me, here are soem pointers

I, too, fail to get them hallowed pants ! Using that anoying mimic helmet to boost item discovery - you gotta hate the health drain - and what ? Got myself several chestpieces and gloves, but no pants (and no helmet) so far.

Just wanted to farm something while getting more hollowed, but hell, now this is daraining my sanity ! As if I needed to hate BKs even more than I did from former Dark Souls games XD

Fashion Souls is paramount, but aesthetically, this is one of the best looking sets imo.
Well worth wearing the entire thing if you're using one of their weapons.
What's more, I love the lore of the Black Knights.
There's an incredibly epic, just, legendary quality of their story. The mighty Lord Gwyn...and his legion of faithful knights.
They're basically the ultimate "no ****ing around, time to get **** done" legion of honorable badasses.
After ferocious wars against the everlasting dragons, as the age of fire dwindles the Witch of Izelith in desperation tries to use the Life Soul in her possession, to create a new flame. This of course fails, consuming the Witch, and spawning un-ending hordes of demons.
And so it falls to Gwyn to deal with this.
He leaves half of his silver legion to protect Anor Londo, arms the rest with weapons forged to slay demons, and leads them into the depths for a second great war.
But the demons are powerful, and their hordes infinite. This is a war that cannot be won...
Countless Knights are slain, their armor blackened by the fires of chaos. Forced to retreat, and with the end of the age of fire drawing ever closer, Gwyn believes there is only one way he can sustain it and keep everyone alive, which is to sacrifice himself and link the flame.
Through all of this, the Blackened Knights remain steadfast and loyal.
To me, I see them as paragons of honor and loyalty.
Loyalty being what I value above all else.

there is actually 2 knights by the bonfire :Demon Ruins.

once you spawn, go up and kill the 3 Smoldering Ghru in the adjacent room. on one path you will find rats.The other path leads you to a black knight with a great axe fighting a Ghru Grunt. This path should be cleared first as it is easier to get to. you can also find a black knight sward here.

At the end of the rat path there is a black knight with a greatsword. be careful as Knight Slayer Tsorig hangs out bellow you near the lava (can be bated into it for easy clear)

I decided I needed this set when I first found the one in Farron Keep, farmed the hell out of it, eventually got it, but now I'm so properly overleveled from the amount of souls I ended up having, I first tried Dancer in less than a minute, kind of bummed actually. Also traded the helm for the Silver Knight helm as that one doesn't turn me into a stick head

For a better looking and better defensive set, swap the leggings for Mornes leggings and the arms for Gundyrs gauntlets. Keep the rest the same.

Here’s what you do if you’re having trouble: 1. Equip hornet and covetous gold serpent ring 2. Equip dark infused weapon 3. Go to Champion Gundyr bonfire 4. Backstab the sh*t out of the black knights ahead I did this and got the entire set (including shield) in about ten minutes *Note: It may help to equip rusted coin too

This and Silver Knight have the same quirk as Nameless vs Elite Knight sets. The skirt that protects your waist changes from being attached to the torso(this one) and the leggings (silver knight). Just an odd thing I noticed.

I happen to have enough pairs of gloves to outfit an army, enough shields that they've become my main soul gain through sales, and enough chestplates to maybe finally make myself bulletproof, and yet I still have no helmet.

I accidently killed Anri and went to farm the black knight in Farron keep: with The sage’s thrust sword( i forgot the name at the moment) and one rusty coin each time… i got the entire armor set plus shield and weapon, and 100000 souls to heal my sorry dark sigil……

If you're looking to cosplay as a Black Knight you have to make your character's skin color pitch black so your throat won't stick out in the little gap at the bottom of the helmet.

Goes to ,, ringed city streets,,and from there into the swamp. Always keep to the right and at a small "fortress" stand 3 knights. This can be kill and then always from the beacon back out there

3 shields, 4 helms, 3 armors, 3 leggings, and 3 greatswords. all of these repeats before i got the full set with those damn gauntlets. but you know what? it was worth it. it's a fabulous set. though it's with sets like these where i can really start hating RNG item drops for an armor set.

This is a Medium Armor weighing in at 32.0, and most other Medium sets weigh in a range of 20.0 - 24.0.Screw the others, I want my snazzy new old school set back. Its 12 to 8 units of more awesome!

Even though Morne's helmet is ugly, it fits very well with the black knight set if you want something other than the original helm.

The most frustrating part of this armour is its helmet. It could look cool, but 1) it looks skinny on a bulky character and 2) you can put a sword right in that enormous hole between chest and helm's "visor". Second thing on the list is hand piece. If you are an OCD type, hands do not entirely match the whole set and do not look as epic as it could be. So here is a good solution: Billed Mask for helm [192.208.60.28's idea], or Lorian's Crown if you want to look more royal, and Gundyr's Gauntlets for hands. Etching, colour and the whole mood are almost perfect, for male and female characters alike. Unfortunately, only 2-3 helmets match the whole set and do not look out of place. Northern Helm could be nice, but it makes you look like an egg-head. Otherwise, 10 out of 10 for this set. Lore is what makes an armour shine, after all.
