Boss Souls and other special souls in Dark Souls 3 are powerful items that can be converted into new Weapons, Magic, or Items via Soul Transposition from Ludleth of Courland. They may also be consumed to gain a large amount of souls.

I'm pretty sure boss souls carry over into NG+, I had soul of aldrich before going into my first ng+ and then transformed it into darkmoon bow when I unlocked soul transposition

I love the special details on some of the DLC Souls. Midir's has a tiny Humanity sprite in the middle, Gael's looks like a Humanity surrounded by ash, Demon Prince'd actually resembles Chaos Flames from Dark Souls 1.

This is bull*****why all the boss soul only give max 20k.. It was much higher in DS1. It's a pain when you use the glitch and only get 20k each time ffs.
