Drang Armor Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3.
Armour/Gauntlets/Shoes of the Drang Knights, proclaimed descendents of the land known for the legend of the Linking of the Fire.
Fine protection that is both light and strong, having been reinforced with rare geisteel.
The Drang knights were once feared sellswords, until treason meant descending into the abyss, and they were seperated forever.
Location/Where to Find
- Found in Cathedral of the Deep, scattered around the second giant near the altar.
- Watch the Fextralife Video (starting at 2h 36m 31s)
Notes and Tips
- It's a good lightweight armor against the elements but it lacks Poise.
- This armor set lacks a helm. The Thief Hood (sold by Greirat) matches very well with this set.
- Extremely similar in appearance to the Llewellyn set from Dark Souls 2, created by the same man that also created Horace The Hushed's shield.
- Drang is referencing Drangleic From Dark Souls 2 Where this set is from

The chest piece with the drake knight helm and gauntlets, and vilhelm's greaves is my favorite fashion in the whole series. Maybe I have trash taste, just try it out if you can.

looks pretty good with the painting guardian helm, but honestly you could pull anything off with the chestpiece

why does the armor itself just look good with pretty much any helm? my favorite is the Lothric Knight Helm but theres so many others that it looks good imo

Obviously mixes well with dark armor (Drang chest + black knight gloves/legs is my favorite) but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Lorian's set
- Anonymous
This *is* the Llewellyn set, not just a similar looking one. Chancellor Wellager's ghost wore and gave this to your character.
- Anonymous
Try the Lothric knight helm with this set and use the Astora Greatsword, good fashion but function isnt that great

"Geisteel", a portmanteau with the words "Geist" and "Steel" obviously.
But it refers actually to the Chancellor Wellager, who wears this set in DS2 : Since he was a ghost, and "Geist" is a german word for "ghost, spirit", it could refers to why this set has no poise at all, like an intangible ghost.

Idiots. Obviously the superior fashion choice is White Preacher's Head.

In Dark Souls 2 I liked to wear this with Infantry Helmet and Faraam Boots. The helmet’s no longer an option but it still looks good with the boots and it grants more poise as well.

Pair this up with Yuria's Black Gauntlets, Black Leggins, and Billed Mask. It looks awesome. Basically a male version of Yuria's outfit.

Undead Legion Helmet + Drang Armor + Black Knight Gauntles + Black Iron Legging , and you become Dark Pointy Hat Boy

For your best Fashion use Drakeblood Helmet, Drang Armour, Drang Gloves and Drakeblood Leggins. I go with Lothric Knight Greatsword and Black Knight Shield and it looks awesome!

I'd also say the Cathedral Knight's Helmet, Iron Helmet (Solaire's) and the Lothric Knight Helmet also fit very well with this set. I think I'll use this for my faith build...

Creighton Steel Mask, Drang Armor, Mirrah Chain Gloves and Iron Leggings mid-low weight, almost decent poise and godlike fashion. Honestly it's worth losing a few trades just for how sick it looks.
- Anonymous
Goes without saying, but you can swap the leggings for the Northen Trousers, which only weigh .1 more and have 3.1 poise against 1.3. Then wear the Fallen Knight Helm. The helm matches the black and gold, and the boots match the fur covered pauldrons. Look good with slightly more survivability xox

Use this with the silver mask for a moderatly edgy look or with the dark mask for maximum edge

Was very cool when poise didn't exist, still good for pve and definitely aesthetic

Summary of the comments: This set goes well with all headgear.

Silver Mask, Assassin Armor, Drang Shoes, Nameless Knights Gloves. You end up with an awesome looking Leather outfit with a single arm covered in armor, and all unique pieces. (Early game too)

My current fashion souls with this: Elite Knight Helm + Drang Armor + Silver Knight Gauntlets + Knight Leggings

I love how almost everyone is saying what helmet goes best with the Drang set

Cathedral Knight helm, Faraam gauntlets, silver knight leggings and this chest piece for the smoothest Deus Vult ever.

Lucatiel's Mask, Drang Armor and gauntlets, Dark Leggings. All of it looks amazing together
- Anonymous
all you dont see that the Faraam Helm with this set is the only good looking way to do it

Try the set out with the Abyss Watcher helm, it works great if you're doing a light build for that part of the game and looks natural with the armour
- Anonymous
"Very similar to the armor and cloak worn by Jon Snow and other Nightwatchers in Game of Thrones."
Nightwatchers, that is some good english there wiki

Y'all are fashion scrubs, this set looks way better with the Executioner helm or the Drakeblood helm. I'd also replace the gauntlets and leggings with Drakeblood armor, to match the silver-on-black motif (and for better overall defense). The thief mask looks way too tattered and dirty to match up with the clean, charismatic cape.

I use the chest piece with the Lothric Knight's helmet, Knight's gauntlets and leggings and its very cool. Try it out.
- Anonymous
It is the Llewellyn set. Geisteel is very rare and are only reserved for higher ups in Drangleic.
- Anonymous
The theif mask and the drang chestpiece drang gauntlets and the knight leggings

herald helm goes with this set pretty well, the leather cap under the helmet matches the armor perfectly
- Anonymous
It confused me that while this was renamed to the "Drang Set", the shield was not. An error? Or perhaps an intentional reference to the Blacksmith with the shield?
- Anonymous
The chest combined with alvas helm farams arms and boots looks pretty cool!
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
i used this set with the ruined mask you find in farrons keep and it really suits it
- Anonymous
add black knight helm and you are ready to defend the city of gotham
- Anonymous
So, does this set makes you easier to backstab 'cause you just didn't see it coming ?
- Anonymous
I use the Drang chestpiece with the Cathedral Knight Helm and Gauntlets, along with the Exile leggings.
- Anonymous
I've really liked combining this set with Creighton's Steel Mask, looks like a badass warrior.
- Anonymous
This set goes well with the Lucatiel Mask. You can also swap the gloves and pants for the Black Knight gloves and pants for extra armor, while keeping the look.
Armor belongs to Chancellor Wellanger from DS2. https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkSouls2/comments/2h2ft0/unghosted_wellager/
Makes me wonder why wellenger was invisible when he looks so boss

Combine the drang armor with silver knight legs, gauntlets and helmet, looks pretty awesome.

If anyone actually clicked the link to the Dark Souls 2 page of the Lewellyn Set and compared them directly, they would notice that the colors and several features are different, which means they're not identical at all.
- Anonymous
Why is poise still being mentioned as if it was in any way relevant? It's disabled, deal with it.

Faraam helmet + this set looks really good and gets rid of that gap the helmet has with other sets.
- Anonymous
just because it looks like jon snow doesn't mean some nob has to point it out now does it?
- Anonymous
It's exactly the same as the llewllyn set from dark souls 2. I'm assuming drang is short for drangleic? Anyone else?

Careful John snow winter is coming.Or in this case a ***** load of demons that's going to fist ***** the ***** out of you then they'll skull ***** in in the 2nd half of the game

Just stand on the bottom of the staircase and poke the giant. If you move too far from the stairs and he stands up, just run back. He'll sit back down. Takes about 5 minutes

This set goes surprsingly well with Lucatiel's hat/mask that you get from the crow's next above firelink.
- Anonymous
I know this is a different armor set in DS2 and not even similar to any of the armor relating to Drangleic soldiers/knights/captains but was geisteel used outside of that region? Seemed like a rare material only for the higher ups in Drangleic and nowhere else.
- Anonymous
If you think this is a reference to the Drangleic Set from DS2, You're mistaken. That's what I thought too. If you still want to wear a helmet that looks similar to the Drangleic helm, use the Northern Helm. ( https://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Northern+Helm )

LLEWELLYN armour set from Dark Souls 2. Huge lore implications.
‘Drang’ might be short for Drangleic, considering that’s where this armour is from.
