Whilst using this weapon, sing along to yourself this paraphrase taken from Black Sabbath's NIB:
"Look into my eyes, you'll see who I am.
My name is Lucifer, please take myhandhammer."

PvP wise all ultra hammers are outclassed by good timing.. aside from that this weapon and it's wa have great uses if like any other weapon you learn it's niches... This and great club all my only ultra hammers in pvp... Just your average chaos build weapon swapper staring this thing is actually useful and fun asf against hanks because of the wa

Good weapon, let me clarify that before i say anything. Now, i think the phantom range might have been fixed? I've been using this and it seems to hit right around where I'd expect from looking at it. People were emphasizing it's hyperarmor too, i was expecting to be able to hyperarmor through most things with around 20 poise, but looks like i might need 30 at least to hyperarmor through the heavier weapons. Though i think this might just be because everyone ever has high hyperarmor str/hybrid builds, so i might just be losing the hyperarmor battle. I do think i need more poise regardless though, since i feel like my hyperarmor isn't starting up quickly enough when i press r1, i get interrupted even if i press r1 a split second first sometimes. Damage is pretty great, has really high base AR, 614 2h at +10 with 25 str/15 dex/55 fth. I don't hit below 340 in a single r1. I hit 400+ on low absorption players. A fully charged r2 does 600+ damage and makes them into a pancake. The weapon skill is easily backstabable if you target while using it, but actually surprisingly viable if you unlock and aim the flamethrower with your camera. It moves almost as fast as you move your camera. I feel like this would be a little OP with more poise and int investment for better fire damage on the weapon skill.

You could probably get a good king Cosplay if combine this with gundyr set (except for the leggings, which you could switch with the exiles) and shield of want. Why not give it a try?

Very fun weapon. I started using it when I had around 25 strength, 30 intelligence and faith. Even before upgrades, this hit like a truck, with poise to match. I like to offhand the Demon’s Fist with it, which gives me a parry and the ability to swap to a faster moveset if need be. Keep a flame ready to swap out for the fist, loaded with things like Profaned Flame and Sacred flame, to really keep invaders on their toes.

Just started NG+4 after having primarily used Vordts hammerhead first three times around, including both DOCs. This thing is basically Satan's version of Vordts. So much fun. It would be awesome if Vordts L2 had a blizzard equivalent of the L2 on Gargoyle's hammer, but that would probably be op since its already harder hitting most of the time. Praise the hammers!

One of the first weapons I used when I started doing PvP. This thing will always have a place in my heart... and that flamethrower attack is awesome, by the way.

This thing is basically the Sanctum Mace from DS2. It's hitbox is giant, so it's a lot easier to catch rolls. It's weapon art isn't that great, but this is easily one of the lightest greathammers capable of a high AR. I'd recommend this for PVP and PVE. I did my first NG+0 run with this weapon, and it was a complete beast. It gets outshone by weapons like Smough later on in the game, but this weapon is amazing in NG+0, and has one of the best weight-damage-hitbox ratio.

A big burning hammer with a built-in flamethrower. Most badass DS weapon ever.

met a man cosplaying as Satan with this item as his primary weapon
its pretty good

This weapon will be really good if you could connect combo L2 to R2.

So I found the gargoyle flame hammer and I am doing a strength build and I wanted to remove the fire damage to maximise my physical damage. How do I remove the fire damage with the shriving stone because it wasn't letting me. And

It seems like the first strike of the Weapon Skill (AKA "Hammer the hammer into ground"), although lack any damage, have high poise damage to the enemy that can instantly break their stance. I tried to use the weapon skill on the gargoyle in the profaned capital and it instantly stunted them, as the following flame got the "counter attack" sound effect on them.

You can kinda aim your weapon skill by moving the stick between the first and second L2.It can be usefull to catch off guard opponents in PvP.
- Anonymous
Even without being able to aim the weapon skill you'd be surprised how often you can still catch people with it in pvp
- Anonymous
would be one of my favourite weapons if i could aim/move the flamethrower, and even better holding l2 to keep sprayingppl need to hear my mixtape

I know the game has only been out for about a week in the U.S. and I don't even know who creates the wikis for the soul games, but they need to fix some bugs on this, most of the weapon pages are incomplete and are missing their skill move descriptions. Every weapons in the game has a skill move.

It says it can't be infused yet there is a table showing all the infusions...
Look, it's fun to use, like most Great Hammers, but Jesus Christ this flame is distracting. 90% of the time it's right in the middle of the screen, I can't see ****. Had to switch it out, maybe I'll use it on a meme build but idk
