Grass Crest Shield is a Shield in Dark Souls 3.
Old medium metal shield of unknown origin.
The grass crest is lightly imbued with magic, which slightly speeds stamina recovery.
Skill: Parry
Repel an attack at the right time to follow up with a critical hit. Works while equipped in either hand.
Notes and Tips:
- Can NOT be Infused.
- Reinforced with Twinkling Titanite.
- Provides an average damage block of 47.8%. Has poor damage block capacity, more of an auxilary tool than a shield due to its ability.
- One of the crest Shields, each one specializes in a different niche.
- Improves Stamina recovery by 4 points per second while equipped.
- Does stack with Chloranthy Ring.
- Stability 56/57 at +4/+5
Location/Where to Find
- Road of Sacrifices: From the Crucifixion Woods bonfire, drop down to the right of the large crab towards one of the large trees. Loot the corpse on the right side of the tree. (Watch the Item Location Video Guide)

I will never understand why they make things hard in DS the most lazy way. You have to google everything, no explanations in game.
I sold this shield on my first run cause the stamin effect didn't wasn't shown, and I was actually running a board and stick char....
It justsucks thatnew players can't enjoy their first run blindly, instead risk getting a lot of spoilers by googling, or risk making decisions or miss things you didn't want to

Can't be infused? Well, that's sad, cause if you could make it blessed it would've been the best shield in the game)
Best shield in the game. use alongside ur CHAOS 2-hander for best results and to show the casuls ur ****IN' SERIOUS.

Should've been +10 to stamina/sec. I don't see how that'd be unbalanced.
Litterally just a positive if your using a two handed strength weapon. If your not using the left item why not have it buff your stamina a bit? Especially when your always running out because of your huge strength weapon

Green blossom, this, chloranthy ring, warpick/pickaxe weapon art, power within. With all of these things combined, you will become the god of stamina. Swing with reckless abandon, it doesn't matter, your stamina will zoom back to full in no time at all.

does the stamina regeneration applies whe i have it equiped but i wield for example a cestus in the first slot so that the shield isnt even on my back?
- Anonymous
this plus green blossom plus chloranthy ring is the fastest stamina regen possible

This comment section be kind of like "it's not completely OP therefore it sucks"
Stacks with ring and grass. Base stamina regen is 45/s. Don't underestimate how taking that to 60/s with chloranty +3 and this can make a significant difference - that's a 33% increase in stamina regen speed. 33% more attacks and rolls in the same time. Can save your life.

Ok so, we know this stacks with the other stamina items. But does two of these stack with each other.
- Anonymous
If I have this on my back while two handing a weapon do I still get stan rgn?
- Anonymous
Almost not worth using. Damage reduction is nerfed compared to DS1 counterpart and the STM regen is too low for it to be a worthy trade-off. Wanted to play as my exact same character as DS1 but guess I'll have to switch out the shield for something useful

the grass crest shield, ithryll straight sword, and fallen knight armor in farron is a vibe

Don’t use this shield as a shield, it’s a bad shield. Don’t use this shield as a stamina buff, it’s a bad stamina buff. This shield provides a meager +4 stamina regen. Compare that to a Green Blossom that offers +5 or, more importantly, Chloranthy Ring+3 which offers +10, over double this shield. Even a Chloranthy Ring+0 offers +7 stamina regen. Compare that to a blessed infused shield which offers the same exact amount of HP regen as its ring counterpart, Sun Princess Ring. Therefore, if you’re just looking for a shield to use as a buff rather than a shield, just go with a blessed shield or blessed caestus. Almost all builds benefit from passive HP regen. Ethereal Oak Shield gets just as much HP regen as Sun Princess Ring at +0 and is actually a decent shield with 100 physical block. Grass Crest Shield is just bad (in DS3). Unless you’re going for some gimmicky build that has max stamina regen, just ignore this shield altogether. Just wear Chloranthy Ring+3 and/or pop a Green Blossom if you want stamina regen.

I know this stacks with the Chloranthy Ring, but does it also stack with the Green Blossom? I'm curious if it would stack if I had the ring on and if I ate the Green Blossom too as well as wearing this shield?

Does anyone know why this isn't considered one of the "blue enchanted shields" like the Golden Wing Crest Shield and the Spirit Tree Crest Shield? I thought maybe because its appearance in DaS might classify it as older/separate but the Dragon Crest Shield was in DaS as well.

Sucks at blocking, sucks at parrying...
This is basically just a backpack that boosts stamina
- Anonymous
So...I just now find out it's a stamina regen item :/
I have my caestus infused with blessed but now I think if I will switch them out for this or dump the faith talsman.

Pretty neato shield, +4 stamina recovery/s. Fantastic shield if you're two-handing a lot. With a typical 160 stamina, you can fully recover in ~3.25s assuming you don't overuse stamina. If you overuse stamina, it can take a maximum of ~4.5s to fully recover.

i really wish you couldve infused this, think of the utility!

Sorta silly that the shield doesn't block 100% Physical, it's overall stats aren't anything special and making it at least function as a shield with slight stamina recovery wouldn't make it overpowered.
Only real use is to be used offhand to increase stamina recovery.

stamina regen should be the one of the chloranthy and the chloranthy should have the one of the shield.
This was good, then I found the Chloranthy Ring and a way better shield in the same basic area.
- Anonymous
+5 = 160+ and only the stability changes, it grows to 57.
+4 = 144+ with 56 stability.
- Anonymous
Does anyone know if the Stamina regeneration also works if it's not on my back but in one of the offhand slots? It's just not doing well with an evil bleed build but more Stamina regeneration is always useful

I would leave this is storage if you have the stam regen ring as the extra stam regen does not really seem to help with shields much, it would be better to dodge sometimes then it would to let your shield take a hit.

why is the notes and tips classified this as one of the Enchanted Blue Shield like the Dragon Crest and Crest Shield ?"One of the crest Shields, each one specializes in a different niche.Improves Stamina recovery by 4 points per second while equipped."it description says "Old medium metal shield of unknown origin. The grass crest is lightly imbued with magic, which slightly speeds stamina recovery."while the Enchanted Blue Shields both have the following (paranthesis for dragon crest) :"A knight's shield engraved with a crest (depicting a dragon.)One of the enchanted blue shields."This shield doesn't so let us please remove the mention in Note and TIps please ( especially that it doesn't have any specialized stat reduction)

do the stamina regen goes faster when you reinforce the shield?
- Anonymous
no stability info on shield upgrade? that is some bad table.

Loving this Shield when i 2-hand my weapon, especially Katana and Greatsword or weapon that cost a lot of stamina per hit

does this still give bonus if you are using your primary 2h and have the shield on your back?
Just thought - does upgrading it makes stamina regenerate faster? I thought about it after figuring out hollow infusions bonus depends on weapon level.

Grass Crest Shield, found just before the Crystal Sage boss, beyond Crucifixion Road.
I'm using this shield right now for a SL1 run. While it may not offer the best straight-up defense, being able to roll a split-second earlier makes all the difference for me. I just beat the Abyss Watchers last night, wish me luck in the catacombs...
