But Oceiros was called Dragon Angel, you can look that up. Also the QA “leak” has been debunked already. It’s just community discoveries at that time mixed in with fan fiction.

That last bit with Gundyr and Yhorm is completely false. Yhorm use to be called Halleck, you can look that up. And no Yhorm was not ever located in Cemetery of Ash.

I've just matched the Gundyr chest and leggings with the Aristocrat's Mask and Fire Keeper Gloves (or Karla's depending on how you like the fashion and various defenses). With a VIT = 32(37: from the Prisoner's Chain) I can wear this; wield my 2H choice of (i) Vordt's Great Hammer; (ii) Dragonslayer Greataxe; or (iii) Greatsword with the Grass Crest Shield on the back. Not a "tank," but decent and balanced defense and resistances and the fashion appeals for a female STR based character.

I really like the leggings of this armor paired with the Undead Legion's chest piece, they make the character look bulkier overall, but the feet design for the boots puts me off so much lol

The chest piece is so cool with those hanging bronze things on the back. Only problem overall is ur arms will look exposed unless u wear long gauntlets like Ringed Knight Gauntlets. The poise for weight is also excellent, its a close competitor with Exile, Catarina & Winged Knight Sets. It's also the ONLY chunky armor besides Havel's that doesn't make you look like an obese balloon man.

Combine this set with Gael's Greatsword, and you have an identical cosplay for the Leper from Darkest Dungeon.

Take the helm from this set. Replace rest with ruin armor. Get a zweihander, chaos infuse it. Put grass crest on your back. Ring of favor, chloranthy, prisoner's chain, and a ring of your choice (I recommend wolf ring). 25 str, 40 int, 40 fth. Rest of your levels are up to you. The legend lives.

Unless I'm trying to stack a particular resistance for a particular fight, or want to dabble with heavier weapons for a bit of fun, I almost always fall back to Gundyr's set. Has solid absorption, poise and resistance with the only downside being weight (shock-horror). Looks good and only has a few blemishes.

Yes, I'm one of those people who played DS3 blind a few years ago and ended up with full Gundyr Armor + Gundyr Halberd. I said I'd do it differently all these years later, but it's hard to let this well rounded set go. Just ironic how it stems from (technically) the first boss of the game. Yes, I know, it's primarily from ChampGun, not RegularGun, but you know what I mean.

I know this isn't official "canon" but this game ties up with Demon's Souls in the Dark Firelink Shrine. "Champion Gundyr. Modeled after a former king." - his armor is modeled after Old King Doran form Demon's Souls. There's a corpse that looks just like the Black Maiden from Demon's Souls. Who also misses her eyes just like the firekeepers (hers seemed waxed). And Firelink is basically The Nexus.

I love this set except the leggings. I found the Harald Legion leggings look awesome on it, and if you don't have the DLCs, the Exile leggings look good too. And both give better defensive stats.
