Iron Dragonslayer Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3. It was added in The Ringed City DLC.
Stark melted iron body armor of the ancient Dragonslayer Armour.
The Armour, defeated by the Champion of Ash in Lothric, was left ages to rust, until it slipped into an abyssal swamp, where it was possessed once again by the memory of the hunt.
Location/Where to Find
- The Ringed City: Drops from the Dragonslayer Armour in the swamp outside of the Ringed City Streets bonfire.
- The helmet has very prominent teeth that form a sort of grin, despite having no visible eyeholes or anything else that would make it possible for a human to wear.

This set mixes great with dark set, e.g. dragonslayer helm and chest, dark gauntlets and boot for a lighter load
Iron dragslayer armour armor + billed mask + artorias gloves + dark leggings = actual berserker armor

This looks very much like the Berserker Armor from 'Berserk' right?

When we get this doesnt that mean that the Living armour just gives up and lets us use it.

Good but heavy... i like the style but i Stick with my undead Legion set

Why would this armor have feet there is no point i hate feet on armor. Would you put fingernails on gauntlets? no

I really wish this set could be obtained earlier. I pretty much only get to wear it in the DLCs unless I start a NG+ which I've never been huge on because I'd prefer starting over and going for a completely build instead.

Reminds me of a specific Beksinski painting, mostly the details in the metal

The hair on helm looks stupid, would look so much better without the head pubes

Dragonslayer “armour” instead of armor. Armour is the English way of spelling it while armor is the American way. The iron dragonslayer was british confirmed?

Someone ought to mention in the tips that this set has the highest lightning resist of any set in the game, despite being made of iron

How much time has passed between the main game and The Ringed City? The description says "was left ages to rust" when only a few moments have passed since we defeated it in Lothric Castle?

this should of been a base game armor it should of been called dragon armor

So here's my game theory
The iron dragonslayer was modeled after the dragonslayer with the intent to improve it. As such its heavier, bulkier, stronger, and more intimidating. Its design strays a bit and the material used is different however it is very similar to dragonslayer. Afterwords, it was given to a knight of lothric when they were still fighting the dragons. Afterwords when lothric allied with the dragons they then set him on guard duty on the king. When the king went mad he left and soon went hollow, however left his armour behind, which are controlled by the londor butterflies and soon defeated by the ashen one. Once at the bridge, again in the ringed city, where we get the armour.

No one realizes that the helm is supposed to take the shape of a drake's head?
Absolutely badass.
Like Ornstein, I like to think that the teeth pattern is where the eye holes are at.

Why in the name of Miyazaki do the leggings have toes, or is this just an extension of his feet thing?

Who designed this page? The values are likely wrong. 44.4 poise for 35.7 weight would make this by far the best poise-to-weight ratio armor in the entire game by a large margin. But Wikidot lists it as only having 38.1 poise for 36.4 weight, which while still among the top tier armors, is much more in line. So let me take a wild guess... which page often has factually incorrect information but is time and again the top Google search result... hm, I think it's Fextra! Get your act together.

Firelink Helm + Iron Dragonslayer Armor + RKPGS = straight up fashion

The Saltslayer returns! Now complete with armor made of salty tears.

The dlc version keeps blocking or trying to spam me into the ground

the maniacal grin on the helmet reminds me a lot of chester’s set from ds1

Do you need to kill Dragonslayer Armour to get this set? Or no.
- Anonymous
One of the best sets in DS3 however its helmet is looking... pretty bad, at least for me. I suggest using Alva helm with this set, it looks awesome. Faaram helm is also an option.
- Anonymous
It's berserker armor which a perfect cosplay as Guts paired with greatsword and pyromancy..

I mean it looks good but has a bit of Cathedral knight syndrome

The "total" absorption values of the armor are not shown in same way as the other armor sets: Here someone simply added the values without accounting diminishing returns. Example: The true values when you have the set on (only the set no rings no buffs nothing) Physical: 31 Strike: 23.6 Slash: 32.3 Trust: 33.5 So can someone edit this so its easier to compare to other armor sets that have their values with deminishing returns accounted for.

Honestly wearing the armor that tried to murder you 2 times is probably the stupidest thing someone could do

I really love how this armor looks, I wish it was in the base game though...

perfect for my skull knight cosplay. Love the design, and the stats are really good!

i dont have the DLC i just need this armor Set and Ringed City Knight Set for cosplay play in the base game for my NG+2, someone can trade it? my PSN its ferdinanx007.

For a imo PROPER Iron Dragonslayer cosplay, wield the axe in the offhand and the shield in the main hand, because the Iron Dragonslayer also uses his shield for a lot of attacks. Maybe not very effective, but hey! Cosplay!

I don't know why the helmet is one of the most overused helmets in the game, it looks good but not fantas- *Looks a bit closer and sees the badass set of teeth* Okay now I understand why.

Best fashion shield to use with that armor?
Wolf knight shield?
Curse Ward shield?
I dont like the Dragonslayer GS.

Beatiful armor, one of my favorites in DS3. I like the helm but if you want even more poise you can use Gundhir helm, aesthetically is not bad.

if you don't like the helmet, try firelink helmet, faraam helmet or lorian's helm

Idk why when i wore this armor.. my character ass looks so big
- Anonymous
In regards to that trivia saying that you wouldn't be able to see with this helmet, I'm pretty sure that the mouth is actually the visor and the rest of the "dragon's" head is just decoration.

I'm confused. Does the description mean that the DLC takes place hundreds of years in the future?
- Anonymous
with greatsword you look like guts in berserker armor, so badass
- Anonymous
I don't care that it was just in DLC I'm glad they finally added it. Really cool when paired with the ringed knight paired great swords
- Anonymous
Use super skinny character build type so you don't look like fat fucking faggot.
- Anonymous
Cosplaying as DA with a dedicated build is good in both PvP and PvE. Love invading and you just see the reincarnation of DA.
- Anonymous
use the armor with slave knight leggings for good poise and defense, as well as a good show for your female characters...
:^)
I remember being really disappointed my first play through when I killed a beast looking set of armor and I didn't actually get it. I know right, silly of me to think that killing a set of armor would reward me with... well, A SET OF ARMOR
- Anonymous
This set is pure magnificence. Always wanted to get it since i'd seen the boss.
- Anonymous
Like everything about this armor, fashion wise, except the helmet. I can't look at it without seeing a giant comedic mustache. Or maybe Frampt started waxing those things on his face straight out.

The chest piece looks really similar to the berserk armor minus the cape.
Here is a tip for great fashion souls.
Use the head piece and leggings from this set
then use the chest piece and arms from Ornstein set.
This set offers great defence as Ornstein armour and arms are superior than Iron Dragonslayer but not the head and leggings.
The head piece of Iron Dragonslayer set with Ornstein armour look really really badass

Anyone willing to trade me this armor early? i will try and make it worth your while if so message me on psn cole1227
- Anonymous
YES FREAKING YES
I've always wanted this armor, and now my dreams have come true...
Someone add to the description that there are visible eyes, but they are hard to spot with the horns in the way.
- Anonymous
From Soft offers us a dragon slayer armor and HavelsRing+3 to wear to with the dragon slayer greataxe. And on top we also get a dragon to slay! I'm satisfied! Now I can die (again and again) in peace!
- Anonymous
Does the dragonslayer appear before you kill the dragonslayer armor in lothric?
one of the few armor sets in fromsoft history i don't feel lazy for equipping the whole set from time to time, it looks that good
