Lapp's Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3. It was added in The Ringed City DLC.
Steel armor of the amnesiac Lapp.
This plate-armor body, that covers the torso cleanly without even slight gaps, provides heavy defense.
Quite fit to conceal a hollowed body, and indeed one's very identity.
Location/Where to Find
- Complete the Lapp Questline.
- Kill Lapp and purchase the set from Shrine Handmaid for 31,000 souls.
- He will reside in the cave past where you met Midir on the Bridge. Make a right and you'll find Lapp sitting. Talk to him and you will get a cutscene. To get his armor set you must work your way back to where you receive the cutscene.
Notes and Tips
- It is recommended that you do the questline instead of killing him to save souls. It is a very straightforward quest that sheds some light on the game's long building lore.
- This set was originally cut from the base game and was previously named the Heavy Knight's Set (shown below). It also had a more silver color than Lapp's Set.
- The overall design of Lapp's Set is based of the Stechzeug, a suit of armor for Jousting.

Ah yes the armor set favored by tryhards who think they can beat anyone in the game. They are good. Usually. *Screams in frustration because of this one guy trying to r1 spam with murky through a zweihander*
- Anonymous
I use lapps set for near invincibility along with greatshield of glory to tank any hits and vordts greathammer to hit like a truck and freeze enemies call me a tryhard but it is great for PvP

My fashion souls for this set: Lapps helmet, eastern armor and leggings, and armor of flavor gloves.

I die a little inside whenever I see players in full Lapp that got styled on with non-meta weapons whip out the murky.
Honorable mentions go to From and G9
- Anonymous
I too die inside a little when I get a invader with full lapps but at least when I see these guys as co-invaders I can be sure that they can kill 50 phantoms and the refilling host with no hesitation whatsoever.

Everyone arguing over tryhards and fashion, while I'm over here still laughing my ass off at how nonchalant the Point Down animation looks while wearing the Lapp chest and helm.
Tryhard stigma aside, can we stop pretending this set ever looked good for fashion souls? It's an odd mishmash of large and small plates, looks very top-heavy, has an ill-fitting bronze color, and the frogmouth helmet just looks strange. I know it's based off of jousting armor which was designed to be thick in certain areas (where an opponent's lance would strike) but only the most boring knight would ever wear this.
- Anonymous
Idk what all this PvP business is, I just like frogmouth helms

He wears the Curse Ward Greatshield to ward off the PKCS and Murky

one night i was doing some invading in the swoop and this guy waring this armor and yousing ledos great hammer gast capet on killing because I exadalie keeped invading hes world I now I invading but the ******* naver gave me a brake sorry i gast whated to get this out their but I steel think it is a cool armor set
- Anonymous
The helmet for this set fits on the chest peace uniquely. Put on any other chest and it's detached. I can't think of any other set that does this.
- Anonymous
Wear this if you're a G9 cultist who thinks that throwing rope firebombs and hardswapping is more essential in pvp than spacing.
- Anonymous
Closest thing to the Steel armor set we got from DS1 and 2.
- Anonymous
Everyone is too busy talking about tryhards to notice the helmet has no eyeholes

You use Lapp's armor with the PKCS and the Murky Hand Scythe. I use it with the Splitleaf Greatsword and Curse Ward Greatshield. We are not the same.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
This page is incorrect, this is actually a 5 piece set. If you wear the first 4 pieces, Murky Hand Scythe appears in your weapon slot.
I just like the armor cause it belongs to one of my favourite characters that pvp bullshit doesn't count for me

Ah yes the armor set favored by tryhards who think they can beat anyone in the game. They are good until they run into me and die by my dark infused dark dark sword paired with my shield of want, then hopefully they rage quit and uninstall the game for the good of the world.

Personally think this set looks like garbage. the helm looks ****ing stupid when people run with it on, especially with the female running animation.

Cringe: Hating this set because of some PvP bullshit
Based: Liking this set as historically accurate jousting armor.

The interesting thing is that it is basically a combination of two 15-16century heavy cavalry armors. Left shoulder + full helmet (called frog-mouth or frog-head afaik, I'm not a native speaker) is from a jousting tournament armor set (the helmet would be very cumbersome in real battle, esp if one is dismounted). The legs are reminiscent of a reitar armour, although real reitar cuirass is simpler and sabatons were mostly not used with it. Unfortunately there is only one horse there in DS

I wear pieces of Lapps set because of great defense, I lik it very niiice

i love how the helmet looks with the sunset armor, but i dont like wearing it in pvp bc i feel like as soon as someone sees me wearing part of his set im already branded a tryhard in their mind

Reminds me of the Loyce Armor. But for tryhards instead of woman

I don't know if I'm just blind but did it say anything about the sentinel set because if you ask me I'd say it looks similar to lapps set

If I see a guy using this + tears of denial + some meme weapon, I usually just jump off a ledge or return home. Not worth my time

One of the best looking sets alongside his cool Glaive Greatsword in my opinion.

Am I the only person alive who wears this armor because I just like heavy armor fashion

great armor, very unfortune the amount of toxic players wearing it though. Trusty Patches would be disgusted with your behaviour.

I mean it looks really cool but holy, every bad twink/tryhard wears it

Yes use this piece of shite like a true trash casul you are. Just remember that you will still be owned and pointed down by pro pkcs users

I can never decide if I love or hate the fashion of this set: the copper colour is a nice shift from the silvers and blacks of most other armours. It kinda looks... Weird though. Like, why are the thigh guards attached to the torso piece and not the leggings? And why is the right hand gauntlet bigger than the left (especially when it's more commonly the other way around)?
I'm not a huge fan of the helmet, but I'm not sure if anything else would look good or be compatible interns of fashion/colour scheme: maybe the Easterner's helmet? Or Hodrick's?
But on a completely separate note, this armour matched with Gundyr's helm is a great fill in for Giantdad.

I'd like this armor a lot more if the shoulder guard didn't so much clipping with certain weapons and gestures.
- Anonymous
The helmet looks funny and I’m gonna wear it but I guess that makes me a tryhard now.

the chestpiece of this set even looks a bit like the black leather chestpiece, which is what patches wears.
as if it wasnt obvious enough from the voice lmao

Anyone else besides me use this set for the EXTREME fashion it has and not because of the stats?
I don't want to classify as a tryhard when invading but as a mad fashion boi.
- Anonymous
fun fact, if you have the helmet with a compatible chest piece you will not turn your neck when doing geastures.
so, you can point down and look to other side, thats a good disrespect
- Anonymous
This isn't really the Ruin/Loyce set, it's based on jousting armor (the helms of both previously mentioned sets are frogmouth helms, which are for jousting).
So yeah, the most fitting weapon for this is the Greatlance. With it, you can achieve maximum J O U S T.

Just wanted to point out that the helm actually slightly changes some animations. I haven't fully tested this, but when drinking estus, your character raises the flask higher, twords the opening, and when doing any of the pointing gestures your head will always point to the side, while with every other helmet you look twords where you're pointing. I've also heard that your head swings further to the left and right when running...?

Here we go sthe scrub set. Everyone LITERALLY EVERYONE who wears this piece of trash needs to be delted NOW ! Such toxic douchy piece of*****s who abuse the strongest set to look hard. Especailly a certain small youtuber streamer. You are trash your glitch abusing piece of rubbish.
- Anonymous
I just noticed the your character can actually move their head normally if you have a piece of chest armor that doesnt make the bottom part of the helmet appear (the part che overlaps with the chest, or should I say overLAPPs ah ah). Cool detail if you ask me, thank god it doesnt just make it appear to clip with all the other armors, lapp gauntlets im looking at you.

1.5% less absorption than havels for 20 points less weight, cool game design, cosplay builds btfo

I lowkey think the helm has the potential to give the slightest subconscious advantage in PvP ever. Have you ever noticed that it's tilted to the right (left in the picture) when the character is facing directly forward? I wonder how many people have just barely missed backstabs because of the direction of the helmet, or thought someone wasn't quite looking at them.
- Anonymous
This set in particular has ridiculous physical defences. Like really absurd for it's weight. Other sets that offer 35% or above damage absorption are close to twice this sets weight. This set offers soo much and requires soo little.

Sport Lapp's helm, his Gauntlets alongside the Harald Chest and Leggings and you have undoubtedly the most weight/protection efficient set. All in All being the best set in the whole game
- Anonymous
I don't have the dlc so is there anyone that would be willing to drop me the armor? I'm on Xbox
- Anonymous
Am I the only one who thinks this set actually looks really, really cool?
- Anonymous
If you wear the full set minus the chest piece you get to look like Robocop at the club.
- Anonymous
For those interested in the Helm, it HEAVILY resembles French armor, and a large number of heavy Jousting armors.
No matter where he is or how he looks like, killing Patches always puts a smile to my face :)
