Lapp's Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3 The Ringed City DLC.

Steel armor of the amnesiac Lapp.

This plate-armor body, that covers the torso cleanly without even slight gaps, provides heavy defense.

Quite fit to conceal a hollowed body, and indeed one's very identity.

Location/Where to Find

  • Do the Lapp Questline all the way through
  • Kill Lapp and purchase the set from Shrine Handmaid for 31,000 souls
  • He will reside in the cave past where you met Midir on the Bridge. Make a right and you'll find Lapp squating. Talk to him and you will get a cutscene. To get his armor set you must work your way back to where you receive the cutscene.

Notes and Tips

  • It is recommended that you do the questline instead of killing him to save souls. It is a very straightforward quest that sheds some light on the game's long building lore.
  • This set was originally cut from the base game and was previously named the Heavy Set.

"The armor was cut from the original game..."

Patches why you gotta steal EVERYTHING. This is why I kill him the moment I see him at the cathedral wearing the OTHER set of armor he steals in this game.

So he was a super nice amnesic hollow bro... then we "helped" him to turn as*hole again so he can us as*holes help us to kill Halflight and eventually sleeping beauty Fillianore. Fuc*ing up everything basicaly. But it's cool right? We have to help a girl we just talked 3 sentences with to paint a picture that can people suck in. Guess that is more important than....THE WORLD!!!!

Weirdly appropriate that every griefer asshole seems to run this, considering it's the armor of the OG griefer asshole.

This set must have one of the (if not the) best weight/absorption ratio. The overall weight is 36.9 for the whole set. While having 35 physical absorption. Havel's set on the other hand has 35.3 physical absorption while being significantly heavier (56.9) which is 20 (miyazaki weight points) more, only having some better elemental absorption. Same goes for smoughs set which is the heaviest with 60 weight, having a little better absorption overall.
To wear the full smogh set, you need 33 vitality with havels ring+3 and ring of favor+3, 49 vitality without any rings. Similar stats for havel's set.
To wear Lapp's set however, you need 8(!!!) vitality with havels ring+3 and ring of favor+3 which are essentially 25 levels to invest somewhere else, without losing much absorption, and 17 vitality without any rings.

To add to this, this set also grants you almost 40 poise, making this probably the most viable set for strenght and vitality builds.
All in all, probably the best set in DS3 imo.

Great for looking like a knight with defense to match, coupled with LKSS and shield of want looks pretty cool. The non-rotating head just makes it even better though.

ITS really wierd how most heavy armors in DS 3 have no vision slits or vents/ grills to breath out of. (Realism fag triggered)

                  [Spoiler Warning I guess]

If you kill Patches prior to playing the DLC then Lapp doesn't appear. Lapp is nowhere to be found in my game. I didn't even know he was in the game until I saw someone in a video talking to him.

This is probably one of the best heavy sets when it comes to defense and weight. Only thing that's lacking is the poise it has when compared to the others.

                      how to make ''new content''
Remove armor from base game that looks gorgeous
Add it back with a dlc
                      Call it ''new armor''
                      ???

I hate how your character can't turn his head when wearing this set, it makes everything, like locking on. look really awkward. It makes sense, but it still pisses me off.

I couldn't get any father in his quest, Since at the time I did it was after I beat the dlc and was just getting all the items, and I was around the part were he tells me about this treasure I should find in the swamp area. So I spend 20 minutes looking around for the this "treasure". So I went to this wiki to find out what it was and it was the +3 ring of favor and I already had it and wore it through the dlc. So I went back to him and he said the same thing again. This went on for several more minutes and I googled to see what you get for beating his quest and it was just his set he's wearing. SO I said to myself "***** it" and killed his ass and bought it from granny at firelink.
Sorry patches, you were a lovable*****anyway.

'Lapp' is Swedish for 'patch'. If only I'd known, it might've saved me a whole lot of emotional pain later, when my newest bro betrayed me

"Lapp" is wearing what looks like a tournament armour, used for jousting tournaments.

The helmet is locked to the breast plate, I'd imagine to prevent the rider from breaking his neck if he fell from the horse.

It even has the gran guard attached to the left shoulder.
