Leonhard's Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3.
(Piece Name) of Ringfinger Leonhard. Leonhard was born into royalty, which is believed to be the reason for his skill in both sorcery and swordsmanship.
In his youth, Leonhard suffered grave burns to his entire body. His face in particular, which he hid beneath his mask, was terribly scalded.
He abstained from restoring these injuries, even after becoming a Finger of Roasaria. (Mask)
Indeed this dingy garb is in fact embroidered with gold thread, betraying its purpose as military wear designed for a noble. (Chest)
Indeed, these dingy gauntlets are in fact decorated with silver, betraying their purpose as military wear designed for a noble. (Gauntlets)
Indeed, these dingy trousers are in fact meticulously tanned, betraying their purpose as military wear designed for a noble. (Leggings)
Location/Where to Find
- Buy from Shrine Handmaid in Firelink Shrine for 10500 souls after killing Leonhard. He drops the Silver Mask and Lift Chamber Key upon death. If finished his questline he will also drop Soul of Rosaria
Notes and Tips
- If you want to kill him to get his set, damage him untill he's around mid-life. Normaly, he shall try to heal himself with his Estus Flask. When he tries to heal, stunlock him by attacking him (Always try to keep your stamina as high as possible). If he tries to heal, he won't attack you untill he healed himself, so stunlock him untill he dies. Then, he shall drop the Silver Mask and his set shall be bought from Shrine Handmaid.
- This set pays homage to The Hunters of Bloodborne.

Any ideas for alternate headwear? The hat and mask are cool and all, but I don't want to steal Leonhard's ENTIRE look.

Best boots for fashion souls. They look good with EVERYTHING. Seriously, I have to kill him in every playthrough just so I can steal his pants. He's a plunderer too, so I feel like he should get it.

I pair his garb with the black hand hat, Lorian's leggings and Karla's gloves.
Looks pretty good if you ask me.

Do You have to end his quest to be able to get the armor after You kill him?

The black knight glaive matches pretty well with the coat, I run it with the Eastern iron shield to maximize the fashion souls and be able to combo into the weapon art. You could also replace the mask with Fallen knight helm for extra edgyness points, wich is always fun. And since the set looks like something out of Bloodborne a crossbow could be a very good add-on in your set too!

Probably my favorite new armor set in this game and it looks like it belongs in a different game.

I seem to have seen the mask elsewhere, it seems very familiar, can you guys help me discovering from where is the mask took from?

what does "betraying their purpose as military wear designed for a noble" mean?
- Anonymous
why is everyone comparing this to bloodborne? the head looks more like a stereotypical sailor's hat and the rest isn't even close to any bloodborne outfits

I absolutely love this set, but I recommend subbing out Leonhard's Leggings for Faaram Boots as not only does it boost poise and protection, I personally think it fits the look of the set better too

Try this: Silver mask, Black hand chest, Undead legion gauntlets and knight leggings.

I know what you are thinking you feel like playing as hunter with this and moonlight greatsword right? Same

It doesn't drop the ashes if you kill him outside of the questline fight...

this set is more edgy than fallen knight but everyone still hates the second more for some reason.... is that because of the pants?

I so wish there were a version of the hat without the metal part just like in DS2 with Lucatiel's hat. It would have been perfect for a pirate costume.

Fashion souls : bloodborne
Silver mask/Pharis`s hat + firekeeper robe/black hand armor and any leather gauntlet and boots of choice . . .
Let the hunt begin . . .

Just a piece of trivia:
On the gorget, you can see a battle scene. It has horses, soldiers, etc.
It makes it that much more fancy.

This armor just looks sooooo goooooood. Especially with the little silver trinkets/buckles on the belts and the cloth draped over your shoulders and down your back. Not to mention dat hat.

***** i like this smooth chrome looking mask, but i like this guy too bad i have to cut him down.. wish there was another way

If you have a thicker chest than "thin" in the caracter creation this sets look pretty "fat".. it's so ugly :(

Don't try to fight him with magic I died to him repeatedly at level 33

To all of the people saying that this is a reference to Bloodborne, I won't deny that the hat totally looks like a hunter's hat, but this set is probably a throwback to a character from Dark Souls 1 named Marvelous Chester whom is trapped in Oolacile with you, being another soul dragged back in time. His "chestpiece" actually looks a bit more like a hunter's cloak than Leonhard's does. He's even in the same pose when you meet him. Here's a page on him: http://darksouls.wikidot.com/marvellous-chester Here's a page on his armor: http://darksouls.wikidot.com/chester-s-set

This game has so many similarities to Bloodborne now with the beasts and cursed black sludge things . Its pretty nice to see the art mold together .

"His face in particular, which he did beneath his mask, was terribly scalded."Mispelled "hid" with "did".
