guys, be cautious, you don't wanna encounter the "variation name" Lothric Knight, They, Will, F*ck, You, Up

Another case of these roots taking over life forms,I guess the theory where the world is reverting back to it's original form makes sense

It all makes sense know, all the lothric knights and Lorian are actually plants planted by Prince Lothric, that's what he used his feeble body for, Gardening!

I was so disappointed when I finally got their armor only to realize it's the normal lothric armor and not the overgrown.

Just beat Spyro with 1 summon. Another strategy is to have a summon who uses heavy armor and pestilent mercury. You meanwhile use melee hitting the head while summoning your inner dodge god. Very important to stay in front of him with skull ring or atonement. This way he will focus on you. You dodge do some hits and your summon casts Freddy Mercury. You just have to dodge and sooner or later Spyro bites the dust. Killed him this way on first try.
              Hope it helps.

Lightning seems to take a bit more health from them than any other elements. I guess they have a minor weakness to it. Guess they are pretty much the same as lathoric knights.

Their attack moveset is the same as regular Lothric knights, but their AI sure isn't. Before, every knight that aggro'd would bear down on you in a mad rush.

These new ones, one buffs and approaches slowly, the other walks up a bit more aggressively. And the buffing one tends to mostly play passive.

FYI the ones with the swords have 2 visors on their helmets, kind of like the Soul of Cinder. They're possibly unkindled

They can be rapported but they behave eratically if you do so. I've found that when rapported, they will attack other enemies, but they will often attack you too, although not as agressively as usual.... Probably needs more testing.
