So this Wiki is incorrect. It appears you HAVE to fail the Lord of Hollows questline by angering Yuria to even get Londor Pale Shade to invade at Farron Keep. Killing Yoel does NOT cause Londor Pale Shade to invade at Farron Keep.

Yellowfinger Heysel can invade you at the same place in Farron Keep. So if you got invaded by Heysel first, kill Heysel and then reload the area. Then, Londor Pale Shade will invade.

I was messing around with armor combinations and found out the Herald armor matches pretty well with the mask and the trousers, at least imo. Replace the gloves with Leonhard's gauntlets and Voilà!

Its weird if you do the whole lord of hollows quest you get all of yurias stuff yoels stuff etc but you dont get this armor not even sold after you beat the SOC

Make a new character, locate Yoel. Send him to Firelink, KILL YOEL. Kill Heysel in Crucifixion Woods. Proceed to Farron Keep, kill Londor Pale Shade by basilisks before killing Abyss Watchers. Proceed until you reach Irithyll. Kill Londor Pale Shade again, who invades after the Silver Knight painting room. Go back to Firelink, follow the stench of Yoel's rotted corpse and pick up the Pale Shade Set. Its not that difficult, don't be lazy...this will take about 4 hours if you are only focused on getting this beautiful, frail outfit. Stop asking for handouts and do it yourself.

This is a better way: Aggro Yuria by hitting her with something weak a couple of times then run away from her. Get invaded at Farron Keep and at Irithyll by Pale Shade Londor. Then BEFORE the Pontiff Sulyvahn bossfight, go to the statue at the Dilapidated Bridge and pay the fine to stop Yuria being aggroed on you. If you do the bossfight before you pay the Absolution fine, I believe she disappears from Firelink. It's a good way if you like to keep everyone alive at Firelink like I do (except Yoel, of course). Then go and claim your prize next to where Yoel dies.

I swear to the Lords of Cinder... I would like to rush through the game and get all the sets and all that, but that's impossible in just ONE run. The problem is that I love having different builds and it takes *****ing forever to have them fully accomplished, so I have almost all my files with a PvP level character and right now I'm making a Hollow build, and I can't have Pale Shade Set without oppressing MY PEOPLE in a veeeeeeery specific way. I thought being friendly towards the Pale Shade I would have gotten the Set somehow, but that's just me jumping into wrong assumptions.

One thing i hate about this & the Sable Church questline is that you must mandatorily accept levels in order to advance. SL 111 is already ideal for me, i don't want to go any higher :/

It's a real pisser you can't get this set by actually allying yourself with the Sable Church. You're one of the members, are you not? Why do you have to anger your patron/pay a crapton of souls to be absolved in order to gain it? Makes no sense ~_~

I´m looking to get this armor set but i messed up along the quest (i didnt anger yuria in order to trigger the pale shade invasion in the Farron Keep area and i also ended up killing the abyss watchers which ended up ruining everything i had planned to do with the armor). In the description of how to get it, it says kill yuria and yoel, you can't kill yoel unless you kill yuria, unless they mean that you let him die. If so someone needs to rephrase it

I hit yuria, ran away (i dont kill her for the ending) and beat every invasion.. Before getting the set, i went to velka for absolution. Then i teleport to firelink and found yuria non hostile.. You can get this set without ruining any questline. Before defeating abyss watchers aggro Yuria (don't kill her). Get invaded in the swamp by the pale shade and defeat him. Progress through the game normally until you get to Irithyll. Get invaded and defeat him again. After this go to Velka's statue and request absolution. This will "de-aggro" Yuria and will let you continue the questline. You can also get the duel bow gesture by summoning him right before Sulyvahn if you didn't summon him before abyss watchers. (This might also work if you aggro any npc whose aggroing would make Yuria angry but I wouldn't risk it.)

Important info: I was after this set with my last build and got the 5 points from Yoel, killed Yuria right after she appeared in Firelink, got Pale Shade to invade me in Farron Keep but he/she was not invading me in Irithyll. I helped Sirris right in the beginning and as soon as I reached Yoshka's Church, I talked to Anri, got the gesture and killed the pilgrim. When I went to the area of the Pale Shade invasion, nothing happened several times (I kept boning out and coming back and didn't get invaded. The trick seems to be: If you helped Sirris to kill Creighton in her world, you need to be invaded by Creighton in your world and kill him in order for the Pale Shade to invade. Did this and it worked (I almost deleted the character to start over again lol).

I got Yoel, killed deacons, got invaded by Heysel at that god-awful swamp, killed Yoel, Anri, and Horace at Firelink, went back to where I was invaded by Heysel, and got invaded by Paleshade.

I killed Yoel without doing anything with him other than chatting. Was totally unhollowed with 0 dark sigils. Went to swamp and no Shade invasion but Heysel invaded me. Killed her and wandered around a bit, killed stray demon, went back to firelink. Came back to swamp and got invaded by Shade. It might be that Heysel is queued up to invade first, so you have to kill her, then leave and come back. Maybe killing a mini-boss helped trigger something. In any case, all you have to do is kill Yoel to get Farron invasion. Yuria never even made an appearance and Anri is fine.

so i can verify having just gotten it that you CAN just kill Yoel upon him getting to firelink without lvling and still get paleshade set. I killed him and then went to farron keep. didn't get paleshade invasion so i went and got the doll. still no paleshade. Then i killed Horace and Anri at the road of sacrifices and he finally showed up. (caution) you have to do all this while the abyss watchers are still alive. hope this helps because i was starting to worry for a bit there.

So I have every armor piece in the game but this one. I read that if you kill yield I get invaded by the shade. So once I brought him to fire link I killed him. Some how I didn't read that you have to wait till the deacons of the deep before killing him. Crap.

i got both invasions, and when i defeated the second paleshade in irithyl nothing dropped.... i killed yuria, and the pilgrim in the chapel. something either messed with the trigger, or the items didn't drop as intended.

I killed Yoel as soon as I got him into Firelink, Proceeded to Farron keep and killed the shade. Once I got to Irithyl I killed the assassin (something associated with pissing off Yuria and getting the shade to show up, which worked on a previous playthrough) but now the shade just refuses to show up in Irithyl

A lot of people on Reddit are willing to trade for this set because they actually don't know you can get it without having to level up. Please add it back.

Got this *****er to invade in both areas by simply killing Yoel and giving the handmaid the Hollow Ashes. That means kill Emma and access Lothric Castle early and get to Untended Graves before you kill Abyss Watchers so that he invades in the Keep.Also killed the assassin in Anri's quest route to be sure and he invaded in Irithyl and I got the set after that.

Pale Shade of Londor will always drop the Manakin claws first, wherever you encounter him. But if you encounter him for the first time in Distant Manor, you won't be able to obtain the Pale Set for that playthrough.

I never met Yuria since I made the mistake to cure my dark sigil from Firekeeper and before Yuria could appear (Yoel died on his own btw). Definitely kill the Pale Shade nonetheless and this set just popped near Yoel's dead body.

I've killed the assassin, and killed Yuria, but I'm not getting any invasions. I'm assuming you need to have not killed the boss of the two areas in order to get invaded?This should be added to the above if that's the case.
