you can buy rusted coins from the shrine handmaid if you offer her old womans ashes to increase item discovery. Also in my case i get around 6000 souls per kill with soul boosting items (symbol of avarice, shield of want and serpent ring.) thats around 2 or 3 gold coins every knight. Best of luck in getting proof of concords

I have a theory: these are not real silver knights, but silver knight armors filled with Aldrich sludge. First of all their corpses do not disappear (like the black knights) but remain after death. Second: their blood is black, it leaves black stains on the floor when you attack them. Maybe it would explain why they defend Anor Londo even though it has been overrun by the Deep. Because Aldrich's flesh posessed them, kinda like Plaga posessed armor from Resident Evil 4. This is just a theory, so I might be wrong.

i tried to backstab one of them twice in a row and my character just did the backstab animation and the knight just turned 180° and blocked the attack and he just oneshot me while i was staggered

For whatever reason i find the spear variant to be harder than ornstein in DS1

Load your weapon with lighting and they Will take much more damage. Never tried spellcasting on them, so I don't know about that, but they are definitely not resistant to lightning buffed weapons. My sword cuts em like butter when I buff it.

Those two silver knights after the first anor londo bonfire makes for great soul farming. equip shield of want and mimic head and each silver knight gives 4500 souls, 9k souls ez in a minute.

This game has been out for a while so it's probably common knowledge, but has any one else noticed the odd glitch regarding the spear wielding silver knight at the Anor Londo bonfire, on the stairs? When the spear knight comes down the steps, and begins his long range spear charge animation, if you angle your camera down so you aren't looking at him, his spear charge won't come straight to you down the steps. Rather, the game will make his charge go more horizontal, over your head, as if he were standing on a flat surface and not an angled surface. Depending on how far up the steps he was when he initially charged, he can take a bit of fall damage upon landing. It's pretty easy to get behind him after he lands too, since he's stunned after falling. I wonder why From never fixed this...

Seen people discussing why these Silver Knights are hostile to use and not the Deacons or going after Aldrich.
Judging from the Red-eyed Silver Knight and the noises they make when they die and also their black blood. Sadly, I think these guys got corrupted by Aldrich or the Deacons or something...it makes sense as the last force of Anor Londo to defend it from EVERY kind of outsider.
They either got corrupted or FromSoft got lazy. I'm betting on the latter because usually there would be a cryptic message hinting this but there's none.

Also notice how the ones in Irithyll before Pontiff are guarding the Manor and disappear when they die as the real Silver Knights did in DS1 (while the other ones after Sulyvahn don't disappear) perhaps these Silver Knights are the non corrupted ones and are there to fight off Sulyvahn and his forces (noticed how there's dogs on patrol and no Pontiff Knights)
That's my theory.
