Standard Damage is a Damage Type in Dark Souls 3. It is one of eight damage types presented in the original game and one of the four Physical-type damages.

- Greatswords (without Flamberge and Executioner's Greatsword);
- Ultra Greatswords (without Lorian's Greatsword, Fume Ultra Greatsword, Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords and Cathedral Knight Greatsword);
- Axes (without Butcher Knife);
- Greataxes (without Great Machete);
- Halberds (without Lucerne and Glaive);
- Soldering Iron;
- (unique) Armor of Thorns Set - any piece

- Morion Blade (when health is under 20%)

- Standard is the most-common damage type met in Dark Souls series.
Still don't understand the concept of Standard damage when there's already slash(cut), thrust(pierce) and strike(smash). What is standard? "Im going to standard you so hard before you standard me, you wish you had better poise to standard me. Go standard yourself."

The link to damage types is wrong, it is missing an "S" in "TYPE".

So - how should I choose best armor against boss that deal standard damage? (Standart = physical damage?) I see slash, strike, thrust damage listed, but there is no "Standard", only "physical")
