Paired weapons are an unofficial category of weapons which, when two handed, put a weapon into each hand and replace the guard function with a moveset that utilizes both weapons. These can be found in several weapon classes, and for convenience will be listed here.
Additionally, all Fist & Claw weapons (except for the Dark Hand, which cannot be two handed) function as paired weapons.

The Ringed City: Just past the Earthen Peak Ruins bonfire, to the right of the first Angel is a shack. Down the path to the left is a corpse with this shield. It is at the very end of the path near the cliff's edge. |
Notes
- Paired weapons seemingly don't increase the user's effective strength when "two-handed", though this is purely visual. Despite there being a red cross on the weapon icon, it will still perform as expected if you would otherwise meet the strength requirement with the 1.5x strength bonus from regularly two-handing.
- However, this "strength scaling" only applies for meeting stat requirements. You will deal slightly less damage compared to fully meeting the strength requirement, as you won't gain AR from the small amount of virtual strength. You will still deal vastly more damage compared to failing the requirements, consume less stamina, and be able to effectively use the Skill.

Wanna see something lousy? Then change the domaine from "darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Twinblades" to "darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Twinblades" but don't say i didn't warn you when you have to vomit!

I just checked and it looks like Friede's Great Scythe is the only one missing from the list.

Maybe it would be better to call these "two-handers" or "dual-wielded weapons" since I feel like calling the Giant Door Shield a twinblade is incredibly stupid.

So there's really no dark souls 2 style twinblades, or are they in a different catagory?
