Xanthous Ashes Usage
- Unlocks the Xanthous Set, Young White Branch, Gold Pine Bundle, and Gold Pine Resin at the Shrine Handmaid in Firelink Shrine.
Xanthous Ashes Location
- Found in Irithyll Dungeon. Is found on a body in the room filled with many Jailers, within the jail cell to the left of the entrance to the Profaned Capital, opposite the jail cell holding the red eyed Lycanthrope.
- WARNING: Taking the other item in the cell, the Dusk Crown Ring, or entering halfway into the cell on subsequent visits after taking the ring, will cause all of the Jailers to run into the cell.

- The fools mentioned could be a reference to the popularity of the set with Players, using the xanthous scholars clothing for their own uses in strange fighting styles and mad schemes.

It's funny how the meaning of the xanthous set changes with each game: in ds1 its associated with an exile chaos pyromancer, in ds2 its associated with the dark pilgrims, and here in ds3 its associated with the scholars who research the golden sorceries

Could you post the dialogue for when your turn in this aah? I accidentally walked away as she was talking and now I missed out on lore until new game plus.
In my opinion the description is saying that heysel is not a xanthous scholar.
