A level 11 Bonfire with burned Champion's Bones and the option to 'Begin journey 3'Bonfires in Dark Souls 3 are safe points within Locations where players can rest, repair equipment, recover Estus, and travel to other lit bonfires. From a Bonfire you select the following menu options:

Travel
Attune Spell
Organize Storage Box
Burn Undead Bone Shard
Begin journey x
Undead Match
Leave

The 'Begin journey x' option only becomes available once an Ending has been reached. The value of 'x' is based on the current New Game Cycle +1.

Undead Match is a Multiplayer feature that becomes available once the Champion's Bones are burned in the Bonfire, similar to an Undead Bone Shard. Upon burning, the Hollow Arena becomes available for use, enabling organized PvP matches between other players.

The Bonfire in Firelink Shrine can be upgraded using Undead Bone Shards, thus increasing its level and the amount of health regained per Estus Flask drink. You can additionally reinforce the Flask by giving an Estus Shard to Blacksmith Andre to increase the number of drinks available. Once ten Bone Shards have been burned (all ten can be acquired in a single New Game Cycle), selecting the option will only give the message 'Cannot kindle further'. However, Bone Shards picked up in further New Game Cycles can be burned if the Bonfire is not already level 11.

In addition to Bonfires, there are three healing stations along the journey called Estus Soup where you can drink from a cauldron to restore your HP and FP gauges.

Regarding Multiplayer, you may occasionally see small Embers to the right of a Location name. This indicates the presence of a Host of Embers. The location tabs in the travel menu also highlight themselves with a faint glow around the edge if there is any Hosts of Embers there also.

Hello DS3 player, I am come to you for a little favour, and I will carry this message to everywhere in DS3 community.
There is a glitch that allows you to summon white sign mad phantom in Gael’s Arena (Credit to Dashingsaint), if you keep Shira alived while she invade you (you can escape her simply sprint out her aggro range), you won’t trigger gael boss cutscene, and then you could put down you purple summon white sign or summon other white purple.
Thus, a new fight club is founded, an arena in a long lost dessert under the sunset sky which sprinkle with fainted galaxy.
If you’re watching this, kindly please help me share this and invite any ds3 enthusiast you known to this new fight club, your little effort would be much appreciated.
        SL25+2, SL40+4, SL60+6, SL72+8, SL90+10, SL125 Meta, SL 351++, all SL range are acceptable.
Welcome to the Gael’s Sunset Arena, the most beautiful map in the entire series, the last arena at the End of World.
I will await you there, in the End of the World, and we shall fight eternal, shiny and incandescence.
LONG MAY THE DARK SOULS COMMUNITY LIVE

Why did Three Little bars appear at certain bonfires? Wanted to go to the sanctuary but the icons appeared in irrithyl

Stupid-ass question: if you use WSS to set a co-op marker, it doesn't go away if you rest at a bonfire, but can you still be summoned or does the bonfire dialogue break it?

            • Anonymous

My bonfire locations aren't showing on the travel menu, at least irithyll of the borreal valley locations arent showing

Darksouls should add little things you can do to interact with the environment, besides killing ,like beast raising and beasts pvp

The Grand Archives bonfire location is the worst in Souls. It was proven that even if you had toxic, without 90% of your health gone, you could still edgewalk over to that bonfire, alive. I mean, I get it, boss=bonfire, new area=bonfire, but why didn't they take a page out of the Catacombs and put the bonfire a little later? It does make a good wallpaper though, sitting near one bonfire, with the other one in the background.

                  • Why do you use Bonfires as the teleportation marks around the map? I don't want my child playing this game and thinking sitting around Bonfires is okay.. Because we all know bonfires lead to marijuana. Why couldn't you have used something more family friendly, like a board game? I'm tired of you guys over at FROMSOFT pushing drugs on my children!Sincerely, concerned parents everywhere

So, I killed the giant guy boss first try, had a name that started with a y, forgot how to spell it. Then I'm summoned to some wierd place. A lady dies, a cutscene starts, and I try to fight the dancer guy. I die. I didnt get a bonfire there, so how do i get back to it??

What are you trying to show with this? You can warp anywhere, or walk if you really want. I really dont understand the "connections" ... please explain?

A little theory I came up with regarding From Soft's development of the word Lothric. Not sure if someone has already thought of this but I will post it anyway ahaha'Lo'rdran = LoDark souls 'thr'ee = thrDrangle'ic' = ic :0

Dying on top of every bonfire in the game gives you the item "Eternally Scorched Woodchips" - these can be used to set up a bonfire ANYWHERE you want! So remember, as you play through the game, drag mobs onto bonfires and die on top of every one at least once! Trust me. :)

I seem to be unable to Travel back to the Demon Ruins bonfire in the catacombs after returning to Firelink once I reached it.

Whenever I travel with a bonfire my poison and bleed build up, with two other things. I guess curse and something. Do more people have this? Is it something I did?

Occaisionally, I will not be able to warp to a bonfire and I have not figured out why yet. I lit the first bonfire at the High Wall and can warp to that, but after lighting the Tower on the Wall I cannot teleport to TotW. When I try, the text is greyed out, and there is an odd yellow icon to the left of it. Any thoughts? Might be useful to add to this entry...

anyone have any idea why recently my bonfires don't show up in the list so i am unable to teleport to them?

                                    • Is there any reason why someone adds anor londo as its own region when its in fact part of the Irithyll of the Boreal Valley region in the game. Splitting it up would make sense in a progression guide but this is just to list up the bonfires :P
