Damn! That caps......
Please don't yell at me, I am but a humble servant seeking for knowledge.

They made this mechanic weird in DS3. Absolving sin in ds2 was about asking for forgiveness for killing NPCs which built up to more frequent red invaders. Now sin only accumulates when you anger NPCs but not if you finish the job and kill them?

Something that should be mentioned here is that you have to reload the area for the absolution to take effect.
I had enemies following me into the church and accidentally attacked Siegward. When I absolved and returned he was still hostile. Once I reloaded he was friendly.

Paid 27000 souls to velka to absolve me, but npc outside giants tower in undead settlement keeps attacking me. Do I need to rest at bonfire or what did I do wrong?

dissolution is 4200 to remove curse? went from 99 hollowing to 0 hollowing, still have the dark sigils so the hollowing will still come back, have to use npc in shrine to fully reverse it

I killed the hawk guy at firelink way back when I first started will absolution bring him back

If absolution de-aggro's any npc's you may not want to have aggroed, then it should be noted here correct? (Does it?)

Should you kill Andre, he will respawn but will do no more work for you until you pay 43,000 souls to Velka.

Accidentally aggroed Hawkwood by doing a plunge attack on what i thought was a grave warden in the cemetery of ash outside firelink and I had to pay 76000 souls to request absolution lmao. Great game.
