Dumbest question; do you have to achieve all of the tasks on the same character (through NG cycles)? I’m assuming you need to for the “get all xxx” types of tasks, but I wanted to make sure before I start my NG.

Question: Can the achievements be done without anything from the DLCs? (Spells, rings, etc... from the Painted World of Ariandel and The Ringed City)
I do have the DLC, but I'm just wondering if it's worth going everywhere to get everything over there as I'm trying to hunt all the achievements.

Question, do i need to collect everything in one save file? Like If I get all rings but one with one character, and the last one on another, do it still counts for the triumphs?

This game severely punishes players who want to get all achievements offline or without engaging in multiplayer which is really really bad as the souls games have always been single player focused with multiplayer serving as a fun addition. I’ve obtained the platinum twice, the first time with no multiplayer and only PvE grinds for the covenant rewards and the second time I used multiplayer exclusively to gain all covenant rewards and the difference was huge. The PvE grind was hell but the multiplayer easily fit in throughout the 3 playthroughs needed for the platinum and never actually felt like a grind because you didn’t have to stop and dedicate hours of isolated farming for a particular covenant only to do it again for another. I don’t agree with this kind of setup especially with DS3’s multiplayer being good but not anything amazing. The punishment for an offline platinum should be a trade off for not engaging in a brilliantly designed multiplayer but it’s only a mediocre one at best.

Why aren't there any trophies for DLC?! Kinda funny that beating 2 of the hardest bosses, I mean Gael and Mildr don't earn you a trophy..

this is a note for all you people trying to get all the rings:

You need EVERY RANK OF EVERY RING IF IT HAS MULTIPLE RANKS. You need EVERY RING that is +1/+2/+3 REGARDLESS if you have the base level one. For example, Life Ring has 4 ranks - base, +1, +2, +3. You need ALL THREE OF THESE RANKS in order to get that ring to count for your achievement. Just unlocked this and this was the 100% sure fire way to get the achievement. Unlocked as soon as I grabbed the last ring.

I'm curious that if I would've backed my save before the ending and did the different endings by retrieving the save file

Man, on Steam I was playing in offline mode and I killed Oceicos, went to Untended Graves, went to Archdragon Peak, and killed the Ancient Wyvern. I got none of these achievements. If anyone knows a fix for it outside of doing them in a seperate save I would appreciate that.

No DLC trophies is hardly surprising considering the exact same thing happened in Dark Souls II and apparently DS Remastered. What's really sad is how these people to this day still don't have a clue on how to improve their lousy trophy system; or maybe they just don't give a rat's ass about it. In any case, not only we have the usual shortage of trophies, but once again the list consists primarily of the same old tired “acquire all rings/gestures/spells, etc; beat this boss; fully upgrade a weapon; watch this or that ending” formula. I mean come on, really? Of the plethora of stuff to do in this game that's all they could ever think of, AGAIN? How about adding some of these for a change: Beat the game on multiple New Game+ cycles. Complete NPCs questlines. Reach highest rank with EACH Covenant. Defeat a given number of invading NPC phantoms. Locate every NPC that moves to Firelink Shrine. Break a lot of things like crates, pottery and whatnot. Transpose all boss souls. Defeat every single boss without ever summoning. Change you appearance with Rosaria's Fingers. Trade every item with Pickle Pee. Seriously, the list can go on, if only for once they hadn't been so lazy in this department there probably would've been over a hundred trophies to unlock instead of a meager forty-something; frankly it's unbelievable that even indie developers can do a much better job than these people, it feels like such a wasted opportunity. I realize this is probably not that big a deal for most people, but I for one believe that the value of a game is highly determined by its replayability, and that's what trophies are supposed to be all about. Too bad FromSoft has a different opinion.

If the achivement doesnt pop even if you got them all, try and store them in your storage box.

Gotta love when several achievements do not trigger when you meet all the requirements. I'm in new game +, and I'm still missing, the Champion Gundyr, Dragon Slayer Armor, Untended Graves, and Lord of Cinder: Lothric, Younger Prince. Let alone the Ultimate bonfire and Estus not triggering after 15 estus, and +11 bonfire......Like what do I do!?

For the achievements where I need to collect all of a certain thing, does it have to be in the same file? For example, do I have to learn all gestures or can I learn some on one file and the rest on the other.

Finally the last two - rings and Dark Soul - more farming than I would have imagined for proofs and shackles, medals and swordgrass were easier for me. Appreciate the occasional help along the way, especially the NG++ Nameless King fight - Skorge was a lifesaver. I'm getting a bit old for solo :).

Hell yes, just got plat, feels good. This is actually my first platinum trophy ever; Dark Souls III was just that motivating, even with multiple days of grinding covenant items. Just respec and persevere, you can do it guys.

Was gonna go for "Dark Soul" but after learning that you need ALL pyromancies/rings/spells (even the covenant rewards) noped. The only feasible way I can think of is going offline, backing up saves, cheat engine all those items, get achievement and restore saves. I mean the level of grind to get 30 in Darkmoons (summons? if you have a year of time to spare) alone is something that only most dedicated trophy/achievemnet hunters would do.

I am at NG++ and have nearly all rings but sold my ng rings. I don't know why I thaught that this was a good idea. Anyways in my next NG I will have all achievments accept of the ring one. Hallo. A friend gave me all 1+, 2+ and 3+ rings, so I got the ring trophy with end of my 1st game (when I find the last remaining ring), which I end with the "Anri-is-my-wife-ending". Now my question: is it possible to obtain all gestures, miracles, sorceries, pyromancies in my 1st and 2nd playthrough, then shortly before ending the 2nd one, I load my savegame in the cloud or usb, and get the two remaining endings? Thx and sI hope my english is ok! :)The point is btw, that I would like to start a new char, but make platin with my dex-knight first :) But I dont whant to use the rosaria stat clearing..

I'm playing on Xbox One, english version. I just got all 107 rings (70 in NG, 21 in NG+, 16 in NG++) but the trophy acievement for Master of Rings hasn't unlocked. I made sure multiple times, looking at my inventory, that each and every ring has been accounted for. Has anyone on Xbox One gotten this trophy or it an Xbox One glitch.
