Honestly i like the roots all over the armor, it's what keeps the set from looking like "generic bad guy armor" like in 2 and 1. Not saying they looked bad, just saying they look like something you'd find in a chest in skyrim

It's entertaining to low level invade while wearing this and the untrue dark ring and just walk slowly towards people. So much doubt and panic.

Been trying to get the set for a but now and only got the sword gauntlets and mask (got like 8 swords, masks, and gauntlets. :( God Dammit.)

I don't know why or how but the whole armor set + weapon dropped in 5 runs, in each run I got 1 item.

I wanted to try on the chest piece for my character so I decided to farm for it near the highwall bonfire but it just wont drop it.. I farmed for it until the poor darkwraith became my dungeon wh*re and I just got the habit of bringing out my large club and pound the DW with it everytime I visit it. Got the chest piece afer roughly 25-30 sessions. It sucked..

What the heck happened to this delightfully grim armor?! It used to look like the shade of death coming to reap your humanity and now...twisted metal iron covered in pubic hair. It used to be feathers but now it’s...hair.

On my second character, thought I’d try and get a full set at AW bonfire.

Framed for about an hour to try and get the helm. In that time I got:

2 swords
2 chest
4 gauntlets
4 legs
3 tongues
35 cracked eyes

It can be done, though it seems the chest, helm, and swords are fairly low RNG.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN you can obtain this FULL set outside of the Abyss watchers boss room because there are two enemy NPC's that attack enemies outside the boss room and i got the helm and chest piece from them but you can get the gloves and pants from them

I'm really sad that the dark mask looks like this now. in dark souls two, it could be used with the drang armor and it would look awesome. but now it looks awful

Farmed this guy for a good hour/ 1hr 30 at high wall of lothric and got 3 masks, 2 swords and the rest of the armour. And some pale tongues. Not so tough after the first few fights. Very fashion souls armour!

Just noticing, if the shoulders on the chest and the helm were different it resembles guts current cursed set the closest of all the sets.

I spent an hour and 30 min just trying to get the mask while using the gold serpent ring and the crystal sage rapier. The other parts of the armor I got the first 20 min. It sucked the life out of me and then it wasn't even that good.

Armor is pretty crap even compared to very similar weight armor, no exemplary stat for even a niche build against certain enemies. Bad absorption and bad resistances.

Apparently, the Darkwraiths in High Wall of Lothric only drop the Dark Mask and the Dark Sword. Sometimes he can drop a Pale Tongue. Farm this guy while 2 hours. Good Souls farm in the begining with the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, drops between 2600 and 2750 souls (not have the exact amount in mind)

That hekmet looks like it would go perfectly with several cosplay and fashoin souls builds, particularly a grim reaper build, or a banshee build

You can easily farm this and red eye orbs around the abyss watchers bonfire. Plus you can cheese the 2 darkwraiths by backing into the boss room
