Drakeblood Set is an Armor in Dark Souls 3.

Armor of the Drakeblood Knights, worshippers of the blood of dragons. The red cloth is said to symbolize their yearning for blood.

Dragon worship has captured the hearts and minds of warriors across the lands for many ages.
Perhaps such warriors are attracted to doctrines of few words.

Location/Where to Find

Notes and Tips

  • At Archdragon Peak, the Man-Serpent Summoners will summon several different enemies- one of them wears the Drakeblood set and wields a Drakeblood Greatsword. Get a summoner to summon this enemy, then kill it. He will drop his greatsword.
  • This armor was used in Dark Souls 2 DLC Crown of the Sunken King by Black Drakeblood Knights, led by Sir Yorgh.
  • The cape's upper part often clips through the armor.

      - want fashion
      - equips for fashion
      - not enough poise
      - wear havel's gauntlets and leggings
      - no fashion again

      it never ends

Dark Souls 3 rocks because you get to wear the coolest Dark Souls 2 armor set without being forced to play Dark Souls 2

I am on my first play though on a Targaryen themed character and was looking for a set. I didn't want SUPER heavy armor, but wanted super cool mail or light plate. After realizing I was using the most hated armor set in the game with the fallen knight set I had to look up the armors to figure out my Fashionsoul in advance. This is the perfect set, Red cape with a GD dragon on it, the smoky color to the steel, like Valyrian steel from ASOIF/GOT. I know Miyazaki is open about his influces, especially the Manga Berserk, but could tell he was an AOIF/George RR Martin fan as well. Which makes total sense considering GRRM helped write lore for Elden. If you are a Targaryen fan, this armor+profaned great sword is the move, I switched the helm for Lorians helm to not only save some weight, but I prefer open helms/crowns or just no helm at all. Can't say how the stats measure up compared to other armors of similar weight, but who really cares ab that in DS.

absolute drippiest cloth in this game. My personal dumb ranking would follow up with Fire Witch set, but this is just a whole other level.

The legs look a bit thin on the thighs, and the helmet is a bit too big, but that torso is 10/10 both balls good

My fashion souls is billed helm with this armor set being the rest, really cool looking and closest thing to the bloody wolf set from elden ring

This is hands down the best fashion in the entire game. Objectively. You cannot argue and if you do I will **** your pants

I don't understand the complains about how to get the armor. I mean, i find the guy with the gesture, i get to archdragon peak, i kill the wyvern, then something teleports me and the next thing i have to fight is the very dude i got the gesture from (or havel, though you gotta have a really bad luck for that to happen). I backtrack to the dude who looks the same after oceiros and there i find him in the same pose, but with the armor between his hands. Of not then, i do it after killing havel or finishing archdragon peak.

It isn't so complicated. Finding havel's stuff is way more difficult since nothing connects him to the bridge where his armor is found.

The chest piece and maybe the Leggings are good for a Ganondorf cosplay along with the Black knight Greatsword but anyone got gauntlet recommendations or are the ones that come with the set good.

To those who are saying the method of getting this set is ridiculous, let me remind you, you are playing Dark Souls. It’s a game about exploring every nook and cranny twice. If you can’t do that, then this isn’t your game. And they’ve don’t this before. In the first game you’d have to use similar methods to get Leeroy’s, Beatrice’s and Kirk’s armors. And if you think about it, it makes sense. You get it from the guy who gave you the Path of the Dragon gesture, which of use to get to Archdragon, where you can kill the guy to get the armor to spawn. If you think, you’ll realize something may have happened at the start of this whole endeavor. And to top it all off, the guy who gave you the gesture, where’s the Drakeblood armor.

Another stupid trigger appearing item. How the hell was I supposed to know this would appear AFTER doing certain things, in a place that has absolutely no incentive to ocme back to after you first explored it? Same with Havel's armor at the Stray Demon's area, wtf dude. Is there a section that lists every item that "suddenly appears" in a place you could totally miss it?

Replace that trash helmet with Billed Helmet (one that Yuria of Londor wears) and you got yourself super sexy armor.

"This armor seems to be used in Dark Souls 2 DLC Crown of the Sunken King by Black Drakeblood Knights, led by Sir Yorgh." What the ***** do you mean "seems to be". That's where it came from. It's not like it was created in Dark Souls 3 and then they retroactively added it to Dark Souls 2's Sunken King DLC. What idiot writes this crap?

I just found this armor by accident without knowing about it beforehand. That's why I came to this page, to find out what triggered it. I've played about 1,000 hours of DS3. I didn't think there was anything I didn't know about at this point. I found it by doing Arch Drag Peak on NG+ before I went to Dark FLS. This armor is so sick!

Incredibly well-rounded defense + moderate weight + hella good fashun souls = best armor. Just 24 VIT + Havel's ring lets you wear the whole set, carry a claymore and medium shield, and wear 3 units of rings while staying under 70%.

It's a shame the arms are so screwed up on the model. There's these huge gaps in between your arms and the torso, it looks awful. They should've fixed it.

Ironic that this is the armor of a young lad, Mule, from the Midland defense forces. Introduced in Berserk Chapter 23.

This is sooooo much Dark Souls. Because how the f**ck am I supposed to know about that armor set? What in the world would make me come back to that shrine at Oceiros's bonfire after finishing Archdragon Peak? xD

Love the set, but I'm still not a huge fan of the "caped" chest pieces (when fashions Souls is life haha)- I replaced chest plate for Lorian or Black Knight and a couple other variations too.

Drakeblood head, chest, and legs with shadow arms + sunset shield + any type of katana. You are a Blade, royal protector of the Emperor and hunter of Dragons. May Talos guide you.

Love dragons. Love dragon-related *****. Love this.I always wanted to complete the DkS2 with this set, but never got around to it and DkS3 came out.Now my dreams are coming true.I even named my 2nd character "Spike the Dragon" hehe. Now only if i could find a good weapon...

their placement of armor sets is *****. no one would backtrack to the back of Oceiros after they did the dragon area

                                                • Anonymous

I don't think you even need to be on NG+, you just need to kill one of the Drakeblood Knights that the dragon priest summons after the Ancient Wyvern fight, then it'll be back on the body that gives you the path of the dragon gesture.

                                                  • Anonymous

For this set to appear you have to kill the phantom summoned by the serpent at the Dragon Kin Mausoleum in Archdragon Peak

                                                    • Anonymous

Why would I have ever warped back to that specific location after such an unreleated mob kill. This game... wtf.

                                                      • Anonymous

Armor isn't on the path of the dragon gesture guy, not sure what I did wrong.I got the drakeblood greatsword.
