Wolf Knight's Greatsword is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3.

Greatsword of a knight tainted by the dark of the Abyss, and master of the wolf's blood of Farron.

The wolf knight was the first Abyss Watcher, and his sword is more punishing against creations of the abyss.

Skill: Wolf Sword
While in stance, use normal attack for a low spinning slash, or the strong attack to leap forward in a vertically-slashing somersault.

Notes and Tips:

  • Cannot be Buffed or Infused.
  • Reinforced with Titanite Scale.
  • Wolf Knight's Greatsword +5 has 523 AR at 40 Strength and 40 Dexterity.
  • Does 20% bonus damage against Abyssal enemies, including the following bosses:
  • The Greatsword of Knight Artorias, an important character and boss from the original Dark Souls.
  • The blade appears to be corrupted by the Abyss, having only one sharpened and uncorrupted side.
  • Unlike Dark Souls 2, wielding this weapon in your left hand does not grant a unique moveset.
  • Multiple weapons referencing Artorias, including this one, almost never refer to him as his real name. He is instead refered to as "wolf knight" or "abysswalker" which might hint that Artorias' name has long been forgotten.

The item thumbnail is an evil lie. When I first transposed it I was expecting the clean version from DS1 but instead we get the half-rotten version. Much sad.

In the past the wiki said it has a special backstab animation and in the comments they said it's false someone said it's only if you use the hornet ring and someone else said that even with the ring it's still false but i discovered that it's true and that is with or without the ring it's true differrence it and the animation of the other greatswords is that it uses the straight sword backstab animation and ss animation is just a bit faster

I wish they gave you the option of the corrupted version, or the original version. If they were gonna have the corrupted version, then wouldn't it make sense to give it innate dark damage or INT and FTH scaling? While the original or "pure" version is all physical.

I don't even know why everybody makes such a huge deal about him being left handed when it really doesn't change ANYTHING. Fighting with the left hand is awkward, Arteries couldn't use it in the boss fight as it was broken anyway and it is lore-wise of little to no significance.

The weapon arts kind of for more specific situations than what i'd like. Would of liked a weapon art more like gael's greatsword. Fits it better if you ask me reminds me of artorias fighting style from dark souls 1.

This shows that knight artorias is right handed but in the parreael world dark souls 2 were his hand is left and i bet his armor is gold with a red cape is pretty cool. Be cool to fight both at once id like to.

The ultimate punisher of Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords. No amount of Hyper armor / Poise works against L2+R2.

SO I've played all the games and have to say I didn't care for ds2 vrs. I'm glade it's back to the heavy l2 r2 move haha and you get the great broad swing. I have to say you can almost punish everything any anyone with this sword if one was to master it. I tend to punish with it and the wolf knight shield and it's l2 makes a great combo. Especially if you are into a good quality build. Focusing on str and dex.

So does it still have that awesome two-handed heavy attack? The one that lets you leap 10 feet i the air and bring this sword down on your enemies' heads? Or did they get rid of that move?
