Miracles in Dark Souls 3 are a type of Magic that usually deal Lightning Damage or heal/buff the player, primarily scaling with Faith. Miracles can only be cast by wielding Talismans or Chimes. There are a total of 38 miracles, some of which are unlocked from Merchants by giving them special Key Items called Tomes. They are as follows:

Sunlight spear: Hurls a sunlight spear.
Wow, I learned a lot
- Anonymous
who tf thought it was a good idea to make so you can only use the Lightning Spear as a faith build until the end of the game ( or waste hours of your day farming sunlight medals)?
- Anonymous
emit force is kind of a fire miracle, it seems to guard-break shielding enemies no matter what, no matter the size. ive been able to guard break gargoyles holding their wings up with a single emit force. thanks onion man
- Anonymous
Hey idk if this is a common issue but I got all the miracles, I tripled checked and everything, but I never got the trophy. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
- Anonymous
miracles arent actually that bad, the issue is that the only offensive miracles worth using are sunlight spear and lightning storm, which means you basically have to beat the entire game first before you get these. plus you need to get to anor londo to get yorshkas chime. but once you do and once you have beaten friede to get ariandels rose, then miracles become the best spell type for the entire ringed city dlc, everything is weak to lightning there, especially midir. also they remain the best for all the ng+ cycles one might do.
- Anonymous
What if you wanted to make a pure Faith build, but FROMSOFTWARE said "This tale describes the lost practices of ancient dragonslayers, who found that in order to pierce dragonscale, lightning should not be hurled as a bolt, but rather be thrust as a stake directly into the dragon's hide, to be truly effective.", and "Lightning Arrow is after fighting the dragon after the Shared Grave bonfire"

locking spells behind so much multiplayer interaction in a game that is eventually going to die (as it did) and now you cant get any multiplayer games as a blue so getting darkmoon blade is basically impossible. incredible decisions, miyazaki. shouldve just gone back and put the spell in a chest now that nobody plays this anymore and the only ones who still do are old veterans skilled enough to not need a blue summon.
Its a shame that blessed Weapon is so late in the game. And that there is no cheap offensive miracle to use against Low level enemies.
Wouldve been cool to have some more simple spells like "High defense and poise" or "High defense and healing over time". My Paladin Build wouldve liked that.

i wore mornes ring for the entire first half of my miracle run before I realized it only increased damage. I didnt have damage spells. this game is fcking great to me

There's a total of 38 Miracles. 23 support miracles,15 offensive miracles. Miracles are still centered around support, but there's a bigger amount of offensive miracles, which is welcome. I like how there's a bigger variety of miracles in this game, dark miralces are pretty good!
- Anonymous
Damn it sure takes a decent amount of time to get decent offensive miracles. I am using pyromancies in the mean time to tide me over.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
You forgot to add the dark clutch ring
You know for those dark miracles
- Anonymous
Elden ring would have the best miracles! We are finally being rewarded for our faith my guys!
- Anonymous
its kinda crazy that the ringed city dlc didnt add any angel miracles to the game considering that the angels are in it
- Anonymous
Yes but have you tried buffing with sacred oath, deep protection, power within, and crystal sword on a lothric greatsword? *laughs in 1100 damage* Trifecta mages are where its at in this game.
- Anonymous
personally in DS3 miracles are my favorite class of magic, i like the lore surrounding each miracle and how versatile some of the spells are.
- Anonymous
buff a rapier with whatever
use lightning arrow with a good poise catalyst
then you wait for PVPer to get close and shoot
and then spam r1
watch out for parry
thats all
- Anonymous
A shame there's no ring that increases the amount healed by miracles, only rings that increase lightning, blessed, & dark damage, and a ring that sort of works, but not at higher levels (priestess ring)
- Anonymous
The crown of dusk is mentioned here but It does not boost miracle damage, I tested it and it only boosts magic damage on offensive spells
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Hate how most of the hexes from 2 didn't come back in this one.
- Anonymous
Crap if you intend to use casting as your primary form of damage, and healing is mostly crap outside of co-op, but having a melee buff of every element is nothing to sneeze at.
- Anonymous
Miracle heals are legit in pvp because they’re part of the build and can be punished severely. Players who get salty about it making it out to be on par with estus healing make me want to die irl.
- Anonymous
Do i need to have all miracles on one character or is it enough to have all of them across different characters?
- Anonymous
Are you kidding me? The Lloyd's sword ring boosts attack when hp is full, why the **** does it says it boosts miracle damage?
- Anonymous
Miracles are a valid school of magic, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

The achievement to get all the miracles is the biggest pain in the ass compared to pyromancy and sorcery. 10 Dregs isn't too bad and going mad spirit can be kinda fun (even if 30 bone shackles can make me wanna become a bone pile) but **** me, I have to beat 2 the hardest bosses of the base game *and* do 2 covenants to max rank? The things I do for a virtual badge...
- Anonymous
Lightning arrow: "just inside the building behind three illusory walls". That's not "just inside the building" that's "well hidden within that building"
- Anonymous
if i miss 1 miracle, go to NG+ and get said miracle, will i get the achievement?
- Anonymous
Miracles are the magic of an attritionist. If you can master tanking and trading with your opponent, you will dominate the field. Or you could just learn how to roll catch with lightning arrow.
- Anonymous
There is a divine tome missing here. It's called "divine tome of lordran" and tells you how much better miracles were in ds1.
- Anonymous
Old Man continues to keep his miracle build from us. Just like he is with Elden Ring

Honestly I think Miracles in this game are pretty great. From a support perspective at least, I made a holy priest to support my boyfriend through his first ever playthrough of all three games and Dark Souls 3 was one of the smoothest. I think the only downfall of Miracles in DS3 is that you don't really get any good ones until the Catacombs of Carthus, and you ride on Lightning Stake & Great Heal for some time. Though once you get both of the sunlight spells, and stuff like caressing tears & lightning storm, it's fantastic for zoning enemies and keeping any summons you have in the fight.
It's definitely not as high damage as Sorcery, or as staggering as Pyromancies, but considering the poise bonus you get when using Talismans it really can pack a punch and provide some unavoidable damage to people who get too aggressive in fights.

Miracles sucks ass, shi*. No use whatsoever. Me in Lapp+lkss = NONE STOP OWNAGE

Glitch stack sacred oath and sunlight straight sword’s weapon art (oath of sunlight). That’s a period not a question.

Roses are red,
Skies are blue,
Miyazaki will never give a fck about you.
- Anonymous
Seek Guidence very good for invasion and other builds that you use phantoms.

I don’t have the dlcs, so imma just use sunlight spear instead
- Anonymous
Lightning stake, lightning arrow and lightning storm are the offensive lightning miracles that are worth your time. Dont bother with lightning spears, they try to get 2 jobs done at once (ranged and melee) and they suck at both.

sorry for the silly question but im going for the achievement to collect all miracles. i accidently used aldrich's boss soul for the darkmoon longbow and not the lifehunt scythe miracle. do you need to own all the miracles on ONE playthrough or can it be across multiple game saves? do i need to wait untill another newgame + to try for the achievement again? thanks in advance

Great Magical Barrier:
"Where you can find Havel and a dead d-d-d-dragon"
I dont wanna be that guy buuuuut...
I m pretty sure that s not a dragon

Lightning arrow + lightning stake + Lightning storm = Very nice

How to stop those fkn videos I don't wanna hear form reproducing automatically all over this website? Owners of this website: WE DO NOT WANT THIS, WE'LL STOP COMING TO YOUR WEBSITE IF WE HAVE UNWANTED NOISE. SOLVE IT.

I wish miracles cost less FP for their effect/damage. They are good, but FP efficiency is the name of the game for PvE when FP recovery is limited to Ashen Estus. Hidden Blessings are limited and Simple infusion takes forever. Stamina costs severely limit spam already, so why not?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
You have to beat the game to get decent faith projectiles. Sunlight spear required you kill the final boss, and lightning arrow requires the ringed city. ***** you, Miyazaki
- Anonymous
"it's just inside the building behind 3 illusory walls" yeah thats pretty much dark souls
- Anonymous
Some of you clerics just love to *chime* in with your spells... Tho, guess what? Some of us are *unfaltering* as we use our talismans, and shall not staggered by mere words! .... I've no regrets from making this comment.

Done some field testing on the little poison spewing mobs in Earthen Peak to get total % increase from buffs. Test with 60 faith, starter talisman +8, lightning arrow. Left number is total damage done, right number is % increase compared to 0 rings and 0 buffs: No rings, no buffs: 261 First Born ring: 325 (19.7%) First Born + Morne: 376 (30.6%) 2 rings + Rose WA: 474 (45%) 2 rings + SSS WA: 419 (37.7%) First Born + Rose and SSS WA: 457 (43%) 2 rings + Rose and SSS WA: 528 (50.6%) Done the same test with Melee range Sunlight spear and the % ratios were the same within 0.9% margin of error (0 buffs and 0 rings: 478; 2 rings and 2 buffs: 962, a 50.3% increase) I didn't test banner, since it needs to be held for its buff to work and I'm not using it as my primary weapon.
- Anonymous
Why is crown of dusk on the list of buffing items? I tested it with wowc and lightning spear and it didn't increase the damage. So unless I'm an idiot don't use it i gues.

Contrary to popular belief I think miracle builds are way better at PVP than any other school of magic. Because of one property they have which is poisecasting. Sure you can just spam pers to use CBV/ CSS but that makes me vomit.

Lightning Clutch Ring should be added to this list, gives bonus Lightning damage to miracles
- Anonymous
Lothric Warbanner should be added to the list of miracle boosting items. The 15% damage buff applies to spells.

Does anyone know if you need the dlc miracles for the master of miracles achievement I have all of them but the game isn’t giving it to me

60-70 fth depending on your build, 30-40 atn depending on your build, always 40 vgr, 45 dex if your build allows, Yorshka's chime for ranged casts and weapon buffing with elemental spells, The regular Talisman for poise casting (so you dont get interrupted during a cast, best for close combat offence spells and healing as heals take time and stamina and close combat gets you interrupted) during ordinary pvp, Canvas Talisman or Sunlight Talisman (Sunlight as a last resort as the damage suffers) against ganks of 3 or more people. The best spells you'll want are Lightning Storm as your aoe, Bountiful Light for self regen, Projected Heal for Healing, Lightning Arrow for ranged cast, Lightning Stake for close combat and Sunlight Spear as an additional close combat option, but don't sacrifice Lightning Stake for it as Lightning Stake is easier to land. Any weapon will work Lightning infused at 60+ fth, blessed infusion is viable at 60+ fth too and comes with hp regen based on your weapon upgrade level. Rings are dependant on your build, common ones on faith builds are Morne's Ring, Ring of the Sun's Firstborn, Sage ring, Lightning Clutch Ring (very situational as it lowers absorption for very minimal damage increase in pvp, in pve you get the full effect so it works wonders while still taking your defence down a lot) and the Prisoner's Chain/Ring of Favor are a staple for all builds.

Hello, im trying to get darkmoon blade, and i am missing like 6 proof of concord kepts, and i really need em. If anyone is willing to trade some id be very thankfull. Although im in NG+++ and i dont know if that'll effect it in any way. But if you are willing to give some spare ones, my steam name is Doctor MB

Miracles are good in PVP, you just have to know how to use them. Use Unfaltering Prayer with the Canvas Talisman to poise cast. Lightning Arrow can be held indefinitely and if you're good, you can roll catch people with it. Lighting Storm has a wide AOE and can deal 500+ damage with momentary stuns. Lighting Stake is spammable and can hit for 700+ damage apiece, and can pop Tears of Denial. I two shot UGS users and R1 spammers that try to out trade me. Finally, Lightning Spear at point blank can deal 900+ to players, and at least 500+ when thrown at a range. Those are only the offensive Miracles, Miracles are known mostly for their utility. You have Tears of Denial which can save you from being parry spammed to death or from a mistake on your end, and you have access to a variety of healing spells that can be extremely useful in invasions. Down on health? Runaway and pop a Great Heal to fully restore your health and conserve your Estus in the process. Also, healing Miracles can be used in the Arena against passive opponents and Arena runners. Sure, it lacks the raw power of Sorceries and Pyromancies, but it has utility. If you think Miracles suck, you're doing it wrong.
- Anonymous
I personally spam lightning spear as much as possible and nothing else and hope it hits them in arena. I refuse to do anything else.

is it worth it to be a combat cleric? as in is the lightining damage in 3 worth the effort? i mainly played either 2h warrior or combat cleric in the last two games.

It seems to me dark miracles are kind of funky. Come to think of it, dark sorceries are a bit funky too. The devs probably should've just grouped them together into a hex class of some sort with its own type of catalyst. I understand that dark, by its very nature is not intended to work efficiently, but stacking faith only for Dark Blade and having to stack intellect as well for dark infused weapons and other spells feels like a waste of stat investments. As much as DS2 kinda bugged me, they got hexes pretty much right on the money.

I wish there were cooler Dark miracles, hoped for some in DLC but alas
- Anonymous
I have all the miracles but I still don't have the trophy. Can anyone help?
- Anonymous
Miracles were great in this game for anyone who beat it because you only get great lightning spear and sunlight spear at the end. It's really difficult early on in the game.
- Anonymous
Question: Does the spell buff stat on miracle chimes, catalysts, etc, affect the amount of hp restored in healing miracles?
Example: Does a chime with 106 spell buff gives more hp restore than a chime with 100?
- Anonymous
People love to hammer on Miracles but the potential is so high. Sunlight Spear can 1HKO players often, then there's Force which when combined with Unfaltering Prayer can throw players/enemies off cliffs resulting in easy wins. Vow of Silence has high utility, and the heals are awesome when co-oping. Lightning Arrow is a very good spell as well.

I have all the miracles but didn't get the achievement. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi guys... I want to earn trophy for miracles but i dont have all because i screw up with some npc.. Can i get the rest in ng+ and then to earn the trophy?
- Anonymous
Hi guys... I dont have all miracles because iscrew up with some npcs... Can i get the trophy in ng+ finding those missing ones? Thx for any advise
- Anonymous
Some people complain about miracle damage.
After fighting Yhorm with all damage boosting items (although, not with optimal stats), I rate miracles 11000/10, would Sunlight Spear again.
But Way of White Corona with the same setup hitting regular enemies (specifically, the ones outside of the Cleansing Chapel) for 263 is ridiculously stupid.

Is projected heal found at the lothric banner knight or farther on?
- Anonymous
Thinking of using some of the dark miracles and a sythe to create a build based off of Typhus from Warhammer 40k
- Anonymous
when casting healing miracles, the amount healed increases with continuously levelled up faith, right? Or it just heals a set amount and thats it, regardless of faith points?
Achievement is bugged on PS4
