Curved Greatswords are a type of Weapon in Dark Souls 3. These Weapons usually do a good deal of damage per swing, but have slower attacks. Sometimes they also possess Auxiliary effects such as Bleed.

The Ringed City, On the left end of the swamp after the Earthen Peak bonfire, past the flying hollow. |

After playing CGS in elden ring, i miss these guys so much! They had such a good moveset in ds3, shame they got the boring r2's

So at 60 poise 1h(and DW) I still get staggered by little things mid swing. Power stance/used curved great swords most my play and did testing with players and npcs alike and judging by weight class. Their poise acts the same way as great swords now. Minimal or no hyper armor 1 handed. Unless I haven't met a supremely high poise break point for small weapons.. anyone else testing this stuff.. I will be checking power stanced greataxes and hammers and 2h them next

After all my thousands of hours in DS3, I think CGS is the best weapon class in the game overall. Has hyper armor. Has true combos. Absurd damage for their speed and range. Good luck parrying anything but the rolling attack. Acceptable weight, good infusions/scaling. They truly have it all.

**** stats I'm gonna swing my sword and look stylish as hell doing so

I can't stand dealing with these weapons in pvp. They have straight sword levels of phantom range on their 3rd R1 but with the power of an ultra weapon. Would not miss them at all if they didn't come back in Elden Ring.

I swear just about every person who uses these weapons just spam running attacks like there's no tomorrow. It's gotten to a point where I had to equip a parry shield. I never parry since I don't know how to, but they don't know that, so they act more cautious lol.

Only 5 in total, 60% have the same weapon art, one is locked behind covenant grind and for the last one needs a dlc.. Not a single boss soul weapon either. It's a damn shame this weapon type was so neglected.

2h fully charged r2 truecombos into 2h jumping r2. Tons of damage, acts quickly and still leaves you with enough stamina for 2 more r1

The harald curved greatsword is a curved greatsword, not an ultra greatsword.

If you're having difficulty landing a running attack and infusing Sharp/Heavy/Hollow etc, you can charge at them, use a Pine Bundle (applying while running looks like you're swinging), have them roll in response, and follow up with running R1.

Exile greatsword the one that is easy to get. Go to the ladder in farron keep bonfire and attract them and go to the ladder and boom! Dead get the exile greatsword and be op

Contrary to the description here, no curved greatsword displays innate poison. Only carthus curved greatsword has innate bleeding.

Always wondered...why did they make these things 2H R1s parryable? I don't get it.

Would've love to have seen a Gravelord greatsword reappearance w/ the spin slash weapon art to inflict toxin. Would've been dope

I really keep forgetting that this has better hyper armor than great swords. Fun to play against! :)

Two-handed R1s can be parried. Two-handed R2s, however, cannot.

I like how they all have identical movesets. Really adds to the variation.

Which cured GS has the most range? Have been using Exile lately, and it just doesn't seem to hit anyone unless up in their face.

Pros: High damage, some of the highest hyper armors of all weapons, have weird parry times, hyper armor applies to running attacks, seem to benefit very highly from counter attacks.
Cons: Takes some high stamina, and have a longer duration for people to counter-hit you in
Summary: These have almost no counters, just go ham! Wooo

the murakumo stunlock from 1 sadly will never exist ever again

So far ive only come across the exile greatsword and it seems epic but the investment is a bit hectic, has anyone used any of the others and if so how do they compare?
Man, these were destroyed in Elden Ring. The poise damage and hyperarmor was SEVERELY lowered.
