Trivia
• Most souls(consumable item) can be farmed by killing Locusts in the swamp by The Ringed City, the amount and quality of the souls obtained will vary depending on which game cycle the player is at.(I.E: they'll start dropping Soul of a Champion in NG+ and beyond as a drop from their corpses). It is advised to max out item discovery not only for the higher chance to get a drop but also since it's possible to get multiple items from the same corpse, being this one of the best ways to farm for hard souls that the player can turn in whenever they want.

there should be a guide to soul item farming, i'm beating my head against the wall to find what souls can be farmed to trade with a friend who lost his game progress

I collected all souls items on ng+4 (main game + dlc), some souls that dropped from enemies and boss souls, the total amount of souls I got was 1851200. The numbers don't represent the total amount of souls possible from all the soul items in a playthrough because you could farm a lot of souls items from some enemies and some souls scale further than once.

Kinda sucks it stops at great champ, I need 600,000+ souls just to level up once.
Farming, here I come.

I would've put these on order of animation. It would be more tasteful and it's not so important to put these in order of amount of souls consumed. In my humble opinion

i think the 'soul of a great champion' might be a reference to dark souls 1. It states that it is the soul of a "champion of legend", and that it is enough to sate a lord. It also looks a bit like the lord soul

Soul of a great champion ×99
Soul of a champion ×99

Soul of an old hand ×99
Soul of crestfallen knight x99
Which all makes 25 million

How many consumable souls can be picked up per NG+ game and how many souls do you get if you use them all?

Could someone give me a soul of a champion or a great soul of a champion. I’m on PSN misterscruffy. I would greatly appreciate it.

Did anyone notice how the souls, from fading to great champion, is somewhat like an animation?

While trying to invade other worlds for a mere toast and leave, someone actually gave me two souls of a venerable hand. Needless to say, being friendly can pay off.

I found out fading soul has selling price(at handmaiden) same as when used (50 souls). But for soul of a deserted corpse it's only 100 souls for selling than using it for 200 souls. Also soul of unknown traveler sells for 800 like using it. There might be some differences too with some others. Maybe best idea is to just use them or use to craft items with them, than selling them. But I do wonder if there's a soul that has better price for selling than using it.

The icon size, description, and even name would imply that a soul of a great paladin and all the other souls you get from NG+ would give more than the soul of a crestfallen knight but it doesn't?

Why do the largest souls (paladin, hero) Give tiny amounts of souls? I checked ingame, the number the wiki states are correct but make no sense. Did from forget some zero's?
Is there no way of bundling some of your expendable souls into soul items? So to actually trade souls you'd need to farm these items first, regardless of how many actual souls you have? Can anyone confirm as this is incredibly unclear.
