Build Equipment

• Right Hand: Broadsword +10 / Lothric Knight's Sword +10, Smough's Great Hammer +5 or Follower Javelin +10 (Ashes of Ariandel DLC), Avelyn +10
• Left Hand: Cathedral Knight's Greatshield + 10, Canvas Talisman +10
• Head: None (Show off that lovely cranium!)
• Chest: Fire Witch Armor (Outrider Armor works well too)
• Hands: Northern Gloves (Any brown glove really)
• Legs: Dancer's Leggings
• Rings: Havel's Ring / Farron Ring, Ring of Steel Protection, Leo Ring, Horsehoof Ring (Fire Clutch Ring can be used for Dragon Head Stone but crossbow and Javelin counter damage would be the better choice)
• Items: Dragon Head Stone, Throwing Knife, Estus
• Spells: Lightning Spear

Smough's Great Hammer

For this build your main stats will be both Vitality and Strength. You'll be lugging around both a heavy weapon and shield, so you're going to want to use them properly. At around 48 Vitality with Havel's Ring you should be just under 70% equipment load, allowing you to dodge with ease. 45 is a good place to rest Strength since it's mainly for wielding Smough's Hammer, it smashes down the biggest of foes and catches invaders off guard when hidden. By these two stats are leveled it's your choice to choose between Vigor, to survive more hits, and Endurance, if you plan on swinging that hammer around. Faith should be the least of your worries right now, save those souls.

Follower Javelin

This build will benefit both your Broadsword and your ring slot since you wouldn't need to focus so much on you equipment load. While focusing on Dexterity and Strength you're going to want to level your Broadsword up to +10 and feed it a Refined Gem. At 40 points in each of those stats, that bad boy will be slaying the undead before your very eye! With a B scaling in Strength at +10, your trust Javelin will be driving its way into the hearts of your enemies near and far. Compared to Smough's Hammer, what it will lack in strength, it makes up for in speed, recovery time, and range.
