Black Knight Armor is a Chest Armor Piece in Dark Souls 3. It is part of the Black Knight Set.
Armor of the Black Knights who roam the lands.
The knights served the First Lord Gwyn, and followed him into the flame upon its linking. They became ash, but still wander the realms to this day.
Location/Where to Find
- Dropped by the Black Knights. One of the first Black Knights is near the Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire. He can drop the entire set, in addition to the Black Knight Shield and Black Knight Greatsword.
- Can be farmed in the area after Champion Gundyr in the Untended Graves as it contains 4 Black Knights and is directly adjacent to the bonfire.

AnonymousWhy is this armor so mid for as cool as it looks? I got Lothric Knight Armor - which is only 1.2 lb's heavier but gives you more reductions across the board and about 5 more poise which is pretty significant. Either crank up the poise or lower the weight and we'll talk.

The best way to get this is farming the 4 black knights after the untended graves. Wearing the symbol of avarice, the covetous gold serpent ring and crushing a rusted gold coin, I had my item discovery at 311 and found 3 chestpieces in no time.
If you dont boost your item discovery a lot it will take forever.

I have gotten 4 BKGS, 2 BKGA, 7 helmets, 3 leg pieces, 5 gauntlets, and *not a single chestpiece.* Also, got 200k souls in the process.

The Old King's Antechamber bonfire is fairly close to the first black knight that I farmed for the set. In the Catacombes of Carthus.

I've killed him at least 50 times and used a ***** ton of coins but still no chest piece

The dudes at road of sacrifices are not black nights, they're dark wraiths. Black nights are much tougher. Found in untended graves or outside the dark firelink shrine. This place can be found after you have killed the consumed king Osceiros(?) and go down the stairs after having defeated him. It's behind and illusonary wall at the very end of that path.

Been farming the black knight at road of sacrifices for hours and yet to have the chest piece drop. :(

I'm on my first playthrough and managed to snag this chest piece. So NG+ isn't necessary. I'm a good ways past where you can obtain it and I haven't found another chest piece that is better.
