Scaling quality is from highest to lowest as follows: S/A/B/C/D/E.The higher the player's [Str, Dex, Mag, Fire, Light] stat, the higher the [Attack Bonus: Stat] is (found on the player status screen). The higher the scaling letter, the higher the percent multiplier applied to the [Attack: Stat].This resulting bonus damage is added to the base physical damage of the weapon and is shown in the equipment screen in blue numbers as a "+ X".
Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost uselessness. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has: Regular(R), Thrust(T), Slash(Sl), Strike(St)

  Been using this for a shield only run, really really good shield great stability and good defenses. The high magic defense doesn’t come up often in PvE but it’s still nice. Damage isn’t bad either if you infuse it with heavy, not amazing either but also it’s not what you’re supposed to use a shield for so can’t really complain. Poise damage is massive though it’ll crush everything with just a few light attacks

  So this requires 36 strength while providing 71 stability at +10 and weighing 15 units. Meanwhile the Cathedral Knight Greatshield requires only 32 strength, gives 75 stability and weighs 15.5 and is used by far bigger guys with huge weapons. Classic FROM logic.

  Using the great shield in tandem with the ultra great sword is heavy as all hell but so worth it with damage blocking and attack power

  If you send Greirat to Irithyl valley to pillage, fight a boss, and either get his ashes or have patches/Onion bro to save him. You can then buy this shield from him for I think 7000 souls or something.
