Sorcery which improves upon Soul Arrow. Fires a more powerful soul arrow.
Many sorceries inflict magic damage, making them effective against iron armor, tough scales, and other physically resilient materials.
Acquired From
- Purchased from Orbeck of Vinheim for 3,000 souls.
- Alternatively bought from Shrine Handmaid, after presenting Orbeck's Ashes to her.
Notes
- Great Soul Arrow inflicts (Spell Buff x 1.5) magic damage before resistances.
- A decent alternative to the more powerful sorceries, thanks to its fast cast speed, low FP cost and decent damage.
- The spell is an upgrade from Soul Arrow.
Anonymous60FTH + Archdeacon Great Staff + Steady Chant + both dragon rings + Crown of Dusk... 600 damage minimum on everyone.
At a Spellbuff of 200 or 230ish (doesn't need to be +10, Court staff at +6 and 60INT gets 230 SB) and wearing the two Sorcery rings and even using Crown of Dusk or even Sages Crystal staff steady chant or scholars Candlestick this GSA can land over 300 damage on an enemy weak to magic or the player has weak magic defense...I think a fully boosted GSA might do 500 or 440 ? Who knows!
Easily the best of the spells, but also Theres Great Farron Dart and Farron Hail, but the chip damage doesn't start heavily damaging until pass 30INT even with the rings on. Farron Hail is okay but can set up to be pussed out with a backstab. Expect Great Soul Arrow to have the most damage, if running a CoOp Mage gank you can cast this and GHSA to catch would be invaders easily.

Has good casting speed and still plenty of punch. A good back up spell for the Heavy versions.

nice for mixups such as casting it after two R1's .
And casting crystal homing soul mass right after casting this is kinda funny, people will just roll thinking it's another soul arrow which really helps you to get the upper hand again
