Lost sorcery from Oolacile, land of ancient golden sorceries. Turns body nearly invisible.

Although perfect invisibility is unachievable due to the risk of dissipation, the caster need only stand still for a moment to blend in to environs with astounding camouflage.

How to Get Hidden Body in Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 Hidden Body Notes, Tips & Trivia

  • Lasts 15 seconds. With Lingering Dragoncrest Ring, this goes up to 19.5 seconds.
  • Enemies can still detect your footsteps and will attack if you get too close to them.
  • Using Spook or Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring together with this spell will make you nearly undetectable to enemies.
  • This spell, Spook/Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and Aldrich's Sapphire work in tandem for easy mob-clearing. One just needs to Backstab with a weapon that has high AR/Critical and move to the next. Aldrich's Sapphire will keep your Focus refilled.
  • Using Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and Untrue White Ring together with this spell will allow you to disguise as a ghost.
  • Duration can also be increased with the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring (R+0 = 19,5 sec, R+1 = 20,25 sec, R+2 = 21 sec).
  • Ideal for blockade running, getting to bosses' rooms, etc. Also very helpful for sorcerers to get into the right casting position. Since your cover is not blown while range attacking most enemies, this spell is very useful for one-shotting enemies with ranged attacks (e.g. the Deacons in Irithyll).
  • This spell completly disables Homing Soulmass/Homing Crystal Soulmass and Affinity from launching to the caster, even if they lock on. This can be useful when dealing against players relying on these kind of spells, or NPCs such as Londor Pale Shade.

Doesn't work on the Fatty after Crystal Sage, near the fire, before the bridge. I wanted to farm blessed gem off of her and she sees me every time.

i love it when noob pve players use this and think theyre 100% invis to me
i try to play along for a second just for fun

I like to use this spell in pvp.
People have a hard time seeing what I'm doing (especially with a milkring)
And its amazing with my dark Harold curved sword.

I keep this equipped just to mess with the wannabe sorcerers that only spam soul mass. Their immediate confusion is worth the spell slot

                    • This is one of the four sacred PvE spells of Dark Souls 3. the others being Rapport, Pestilent Mercury, and Warmth.
I call it "Game Journalist Mode", because even a game journalist can play DS3 with this build.
Let me break it down for you in 5 simple steps.

Step 1 - Acquire Chaos Dagger and Witchtree Branch.
Step 2 - Acquire both the slumbering and lingering Dragoncrest rings, as well as the Hornet Ring and Aldrich's Sapphire.
Step 3 - Acquire all of the previously mentioned spells, warmth is optional but it makes it so much better.
                      Step 4 - Acquire Pyromancer's Parting Flame.
Step 5 - Assuming you managed to get Warmth, set Ashen Estus to 14.

You have now broken the game. For every Hidden Body you cast you only need to backstab two enemies in order to restore the FP cost because of Aldrich's Sapphire, and you'll never run out of healing either due to the stupidly low FP cost of Warmth. On top of this for every few enemies you kill you get a free refill on your normal estus, providing yet another source of healing. You can also make enemies fight eachother with Rapport without risk of friendly fire, because you're ****ing invisible. Pestilent Mist is for the enemies you can't take out easily with a single backstab, or for those immune to Rapport. Assuming you're not actually trash at the game you can also use it to kill Midir really fast.

This is true easy mode once it's set up, with maximum room for error. You can clear entire areas without even needing to roll once. Bosses can't be brute forced with it, but all of the rest of the game can be.

                      • Anonymous

If you used executioner's great sword with Aldrich's Sapphire, you'd get 21 FP/kill (whether you kill with the sword or no, it just needs to be equipped)
So that with a +4 simple weapon (or +1 if you're wearing slumbering dragon rest ring) means you could keep this up continuously with 1 backstap per cast.

                        • Anonymous

One reason why it's sometimes hard to find the host in anor londo, is because they use this spell with obscuring ring and slumbering ring to hide away from you.

                          • Anonymous

This spell is amazing as a blue/summon for chasing reds into pve. They freak out when they don't have mobs to guard them while they estus. Also makes solo play genuinely easy (at least against enemies you can backstab) probably the most versatile spell in the game.

                            • Anonymous

Cool spell, very nice for PvE. I would like it even more if it prevented other players from using lock-on at you. Then to make it fair, it could probably disable your lock-on as well. And please just extend the length, damn it. Tears of Denial works forever, but this spell runs out instantly.

Do you know what's fun? Slapping on Hidden Body and Spook, then backstabbing someone by using an ultra greatsword. I've rarely dabbled in sorcery because the style just wasn't for me, but I do regret not giving the stealth spells a fair shake until finally playing the Ringed City DLC. It opens up a brand new play style, and completely different way of interacting with the world. Hidden Body doesn't last long, but it does its job. You might as well try this out if your INT is at least 15.

I use it in an SL50 fast-rolling build, together with sage's big hat, scholar's robe, untrue dark ring, and hidden weapon. All this together covers your body and makes it blend into the background, making you very hard to read. The short duration is a problem, but you can find opportunities to pop it, like when they're buffing or chugging.

                                  • Anonymous

Duration is waaaaay too short. It should last at least six times as long as it does with the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring.

                                    • Anonymous

This spell is underrated for pvp. Combine it with Carthus Milk Ring for 100% invisible rolls. Having your opponent not clearly see what you're doing is pretty valuable. Especially if you're using something easy to parry, like spears, have a bow or whip, or are going to throw out a parry.

                                      • Anonymous

Noticed that whenever use Hidden Body together with Hornet Ring, Aldrich Sapphire, Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, Lingering Dragoncrest Ring and my weight ratio was at or over 70%, enemies in PvE could detect where I am.

                                        • Anonymous

Not a good spell for PvP. That said, with a Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and some patience, you can simply stroll by most enemies in the game. Exceptions include minibosses, bosses, and sometimes Jailers. There might be more exceptions but that's off the top of my head.

                                          • Anonymous

I just used ithryl straight sword. Quick enough to get a few hits in and do frost damage. Exact method I used on the main boss Dragonslayer

                                            • You haven't played PvP enough if you haven't had some galaxy-brained genius run around the corner to put this thing on, and then casually stroll towards you in an extremely sad attempt at flanking/backstabbing.

                                              • Damn, only 15 seconds? I really though it was like 12 seconds... Using Lingering Dragoncrest really doesn't help either... This is still a great spell to use when you want to run through an area (Easy Mode Sorcery) Using Slumbering and Hidden Body you can run through Snowfield easily and, yes even though you can skip Snowfield by going up to the left on the hill with the wolves, still very fun going through those Millwood Knights and sneaking up the Tower using Slumbering Dragoncrest ring and Hidden Body to go up there loot.

Does not *****ing work on dagger and greataxe snakemen. Invisible the whole time, chased and attacked me from the 2nd bonfire (after wyvern) to the great belfry. *****ing horse*****.

combined with lingering dragoncrest ring, slumbering dragon ring, aldrich saphire, hornet ring, chaos dagger and raport it creates the funniest run ive ever had.

                                                    • Anonymous

I got invaded by someone who was invisible (fog ring, hidden body) but when I got close to them I couldn't even target them...they said that hidden body got changed to that. I feel like thats fishy. Any other information?

                                                      • Anonymous

It's worth mentioning that some enemies can see through it and some seem to have a bigger detection radius than others. The bald dead people with daggers after dragon barracks run straight for you.

                                                        • Anonymous

Use hidden body, lingering dragoncrest ring slumbering dragoncrest ring, and aldrichs sapphire. The sapphire allows you to backstab and get your fp back that you used for the spell, also this spell is great for running through playthroughs quickly

                                                          • Anonymous

I found this spell really good for speed runs. You can run past most of the enemies without harm. I saw someone beat the game in 1 hour and 10 minutes.

                                                            • Anonymous

This, in no way, is anywhere near "fully tested" by me or anything, but I have been using this in tandem with Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring on my sorcerer playthrough. I knew the spell didn't work on bosses, but out of habit I kept this buff up for the whole Crystal Sage fight. Anyways, to get to my point, I am pretty sure when the 2nd phase of the fight hit, Hidden Body kept the "fake sages" from noticing me at all. As I said, this needs more testing, as it could have been a number of things keeping them from targeting me (I had the summoned NPC with me during the fight), but from what I could tell, during phase 2 ONLY the main Crystal Sage was casting at me, which just made the fight feel like it was all just a big phase 1.

one of the new patches makes hidden body completely useless when summoned as a red phantom or white phantom. can someone test this when you are an invader? and host

                                                                • Anonymous

Amazing spell in both PVE and PVP

In PVE it must be used with spook or slumbering dragon crest ring. Enemies won't even notice you unless you hit them

In PVP homing spells won't attack you until the spell wears off and enemy won't be able to clearly see what you are doing.

                                                                  • Anonymous

As a summon or invader you look just like the ghosts around the bonfire and catch so many off guard

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

The swordsman to the left of the the first bonfire was missing, as well as the warrior with the spider shield and the estus flask shard was missing

                                                                        • Anonymous

While you can still see someone casting a spell it is extremely difficult to see a weapon swap. I've baited tons of people into a small shield parry and Moonlight Greatsword riposte, easy 1k damage without the hornet ring. There are so many tricks to this spell it's extremely useful and wildly entertaining.

                                                                          • Anonymous

                                                                              • Anonymous

You can easily purge a mob with back stabbing or spamming spells!Very highly recommend all spell casters put this spell in their allotment. You won't regret it, especially if you are like me and go pure dragon form.PS - Using this spell will allow you to take full advantage of the twinkling dragon torso stone in PVE. Enemies cannot see you and gives you time to use the full crushing blow!200-800 damage the twinkling dragon torso dose.

In PvE it is great to use, so you can jsut waltz past enemies... or even shoot them with magic as they stand around dumbfounded. Anyone know how close you have to be to people in PvP to be spotted?
