Charge is a Skill in Dark Souls 3.
Weapons That Have Charge
- Astora Greatsword
- Four-Pronged Plow
- Soldering Iron
- Drang Twinspears
- Rotten Ghru Spear
- Saint Bident
- Lothric Knight Long Spear
Notes & Information
- Useful for quickly catching up to fleeing foes.
- Can be parried.
- Extending the charge with the Four-Pronged Plow will cause your character to fall on their face. This is a nod to the original Dark Souls, where using a fully charged strong attack with the Four-Pronged Plow would cause your character to fall.
- Causes thrust counter frames starting about half a second after the start of the animation (when the player starts to charge) that continue until the end of animation whether extended or not. The exception to this rule is the four prong plow which experiences its thrust counter frames only at the end of its animation, extending the charge does not change the placement or duration of the frames.

Really good and useful weapon art for PvP. Loads of hyper armor, high damage, good range on Astora GS Charge, which is the one I used.
Never use this against anyone who is holding a small shield, and use it close range unless you're estus punishing to get maximum effect from this weapon art. It's a really good roll catcher, as well.
i didnt get how to charge, how to use the weapon's skill
This WA shouldn't be parryable. It's already super telegraphed and easy to dodge, and for spears does less damage (and uses more stamina) than their standard R1 attacks.
Easiest attack to parry in the game.
Anybody know if hyperarmor during charge is weapon dependent? or if it's the same across the board?
"Four-Pronged Plow will cause your character to face on their face"
Putting bleed on wEaton and hitting a charge is great damage
the astora greatsword also has charge as a special attack, also, charge is parryable, I got parried while using it
You may notice that it does almost no dmg. Be sure to hit the strong attack button during the charge to deal its true dmg.
Always been a fan of it, looking forward to using it to impale foes.
