Notes & Information
- When using a shield with Weapon Skill you can go straight from one handing or blocking, into the Skill of your right handed weapon, without having to two-hand it first.
- Even though Weapon Skill in itself has no FP consumption, the FP cost of your right handed weapon's Skill will be consumed instead.
- A left handed bare fist also has the same Skill as a shield with Weapon Skill, but curiously, if your right hand is also bare it will result in a left handed parry instead.
- If you equip a Weapon Skill shield in each hand and use the Skill, it will result in a light shield bash similar to the Shield Strike Skill of the Spiked Shield.

Warrior's Round Shield, Blood Bandit Knife, 100% Equipment Load with armor or Flynn's Ring on 30% Equipment Load. Thank me later.

gonna test this on a multi weapon combo build for quick weapon art switching. I think it genuinely has some potential if you're not condfident at parrying (such as myself)

When you use weapon skill to cast a weapon art, it looks like it's calculated as if you're two handing the weapon. I tested this with a +6 heavy scimitar with 31 strength and the damage was the same for [shield weapon skill + weapon art] vs [two-hand + weapon art].

does this affect damage? what I mean is if your strength is 27 or below and you use wolf knight greatsword's weapon art, does it calculate the damage as if it's one handed? I don't have gear that I can test this with.

I'm sad that there are so few "normal" shields with weapon skill. I like to infuse these with simple because of the FP regen but I suck at parry and love weapon arts.

Using Farron Greatsword with the Wolf Knight Shield is amazing. No one suspect's the greatshield quick parry.

So does this mean the shields damage is calculated into total attack when equipped?
Only if I could put this on my staff
