A shame these rings have such heavy PvP nerfs. Being more viable in PvP would not only encourage people to play through NG++ for the +2 rings, but also add an additional element of strategy to the game. Watching the effects that manifest when a player hits you or observing how they buff their weapon, then adjusting a defensive ring slot to accommodate. Smart players knowing this happens and utilizing misleading resin buffs at the start of a match and switching between different bundles on short notice to overcome the ring swapping. With absorption differences up to 20% for +2, that kind of smart playing could have been a considerable tactical element.
