Dark Clutch Ring

Ring depicting a hand grasping a purple stone. Increases dark attack, but compromises damage absorption.

An old fable in Londor claims that the lure of the clutch ring reaches out to the crestfallen, who might otherwise be overcome by despair.

Dark Clutch Ring is a Ring in Dark Souls 3.

 

Dark Clutch Ring Effect

  • Increases dark attack by 15% in PvE and 8% in PvP

  • Reduces Physical, Strike, Slash, and Thrust Absorptions 10% in PvE and 15% in PvP

  • Weight: 0.8

 

 

Where to Find Dark Clutch Ring

  • Dropped by a mimic in the Irithyll Dungeon near the Profaned Capital bonfire. After passing the arms of the sleeping giant, there is a sewer-like hallway with rats. The mimic is at the end of the hallway, on the left side. 
  • Beware of opening the non-mimic chest first. This will cause an ambush of basilisks to drop from the ceiling, making defeating the mimic troublesome.

 

 

Notes

  • Increases the damage on dark weapons, buffs, dark spells, and deep/dark infusions.
  • Reduction in absorption is calculated by increasing your current absorption by 10% and then subtracting 10 (i.e. New = 1.1xOld- 10; calculated with excel)
  • Alternatively, you can get to the mimic via the elevator shorcut near the Irithyll Dungeon bonfire.

      Is Dark Pyromancy (ex. Black Serpent, Black Flame, Black Fire Orb) also affected by the Dark Clutch Ring?

        Is the drop location still the same? I killed the correct mimic (checked out from youtube vids) and it just dropped Symbol of Avarice helm for me, not the ring.

          I will tell you my secret to PvP, because the world must know. I equip partial Havel armor, (Chest, Legs) and Smough's gauntlets, and then I cast Tears of Denial and use this with Sacred Oath and Power Within, and also the Blindfold mask, and don't forget the Human Pine Resin and Morion Blade! All of this and the Executioner's greatsword, with the Knight's ring, Ring of Favor +3 and Wolf ring +3 for maximum effect. The three most important stats are END, STR, FTH and VIG at level 130. (I suggest 40STR,40END,15FTH AND 40 VIG. Use a +10 Executioner's greatsword, and you should decimate your opponents. You're welcome.

            Im not sure if someone has said this or not but this somehow gives my lifehunt scythe an 80 dmg boost... any other mircles that benefit from dark clutch?

              Did you know: If you use a Duel Charm on the mimic that drops this, the Basilisks won't drop from the hole in the ceiling.

                Does the dark clurch ring increase the damage on say a broadsword infused with dark or does it strictly pertain to buffs?

                  When your casting speed is maxed, soul dred and black fire orb casts crazy fast. So once u land three hits your gonna deal crazy damage. Carthus beacon then steady chant then soul dred spam
