Build Strategy
How to play this build:
Samurai style build, focusing on two main weapons, a Katana and a Bow. This build is all about swift slashes and precise arrows, each strategically placed throughout the battle.
For the Katana choose your preferred one, I like the Black Blade when paired with the Black Bow of Pharis, but clearly the washing pole is better. Darkdrift has a cool concept but you miss out on Hold, so it's up to you.
For the bow I would only go Black Bow of Pharis, it's still a small bow, so as to not over encumber you and will scale decently well with your Dex. Bows are much more viable this time around and since you won't be carrying around a shield it's nice to dodge around and do some ranged damage while staying true to the character lore.
Stats are as follows:
SOUL LEVEL 110 – Starting Class – Mercenary
VIG – 30 (Good chunk of health to keep you alive longer)
ATT – 12 (Solid FP to let you use your weapon art in a duel a decent amount)
END – 30 (Could increase at cost of VIG if you want a higher risk, higher reward playstyle)
VIT – 20 (Will allow you to wear both weapons, Easterners Set, and left over space for rings)
STR – 40 (Best DMG Softcap)
DEX – 40 (Best DMG Softcap)
INT – 10 (No need for it but still, with no investment you can still recruit Orbeck)
FTH – 8 (No need)
LCK – 9 (Not a part of this build)
Rings I recommend are:
Chloranthy Ring, Prisoner's Chain, Lloyd's Sword Ring, and Carthus Milkring.

Ik its trash but the only ones besides onikiri/ubadachi i know where is, is the one from swordmaster, so I'll use it with the blackbow of pharis, might swap this to a cosplay style thing and input a fire gem into it

Since Katanas get more of a damage boost from Dex, instead only get the strength requirement and put the rest in whatever.

I'm trying this out right now with a couple adjustments. I'm using Morne's helm, just 'cuz I like the look of it, and I'm using the Washing Pole for the extra reach. Love the samurai theme and the use of a bow. Thanks for the cool idea!
Thoughts on Chaos Blade? I just read about how good its parry frames are and how well it scales. Been using Black Blade and it is a very solid weapon with excellent aesthetics, but I feel like Chaos Blade might be better for pure swordsmanship.
