Build Strategy
This build makes use of Yhorm's Great Machete's high strength scaling + War Cry in combination with Sunlight Straight Swords Sacred Oath to create an AR that is around 800. Yhorm's Great Machete is a slow weapon but when it hits... it hits like a truck for a lot of damage. Yhorm's also has a long range that can rival some halberds and spears. I've done around 1500 damage with a fully charged R2 after using Sacred Oath + War Cry in conjunction in PvE. Having at least two Ashen Estus Flasks allows you to keep using the Sacred Oath + War Cry combo.
This build wrecks enemies in PvE but is also very effective in PvP. It generally takes about 3 R1's to kill a player. Sometimes less if they have a low health build. The key to hitting with this weapon is to try to time your hits so that your weapon come crashing down right as they get out of a roll. If you hit a player they can easily become stunned, generally leading to another hit. The buffed R2's ability is very effective for charging enemies without being disrupted. The initial strike does damage and will stun your opponent briefly allowing for the second strike to crash down on them causing a lot of damage.
Using Armor of Thorns allows you to deal a little bit more damage if you need to. I've won a few duels by rolling into enemies for those last few hit points. I also think it just looks cool while wielding a gigantic machete. If you decide to take this build higher than 120 then I suggest putting more points in Strength to continue the insane AR climb. Also if you get Havel's Ring +2 and Ring of Favor +2 you can take out a few points of vitality and put them into strength or vigor.
Pros:
Very high AR with a long range for a melee weapon
War Cry + R2 is a very effective for breaking through enemies attacks and dealing a lot of damage
Able to buff allies with Sacred Oath
Decent blocking for a two handed weapon
Cons:
Weapon is slow so you need to time your attacks right especially against fast attackers
Each attack uses a lot of stamina
Lack of shield makes dodging more important than blocking

Sacred Oath cost 28 Faith, the buff on the sword is called oath of sunlight. Also you should clear up the starting class, knight would leave you with a few extra point with the 9int, 7luck. basically leaving you at SL116 after getting the core of this.
