The simple torch is very good against these. Always use heavy attack though - light attack is good at missing, especially on 2nd combo swing.

Demon's Greataxe deals with them nicely with heavy attack, or charged heavy attack. Ofc goes even better if using weapon art but guess no need to waste it on these enemies hehe

Since these little bastards can actually block your way in a few areas (mostly Cathedral of the Deep), it can be worthwhile picking up the Pyromancy Flame even if you don't intend to use pyromancy - the fire damage does tremendous damage to them even if your stats are junk.

I love getting swallowed whole and digested. sadly, this might be the only vore capable enemy in DS3, and even though I crushed Iudyx Gundyr on my 1st try ever, I'm still far from these cute blobs.

To Add: These enemies came from humans who ate humans. They then became these masses of slime and bones like Aldrich. They were/are devout followers of Aldrich, so much so, they took after him in his dreadful diet.

I'm pretty sure I've seen these things in bloodborne as well.

I notice the most peculiar thing with these guys, while stabbing Aldrich repeatedly many times for personal reasons, that as I would be summoned and return the slimes (or whatever you want to call them) would die randomly and after doing this for about the 10th time all the slimes were dead. Do they have a timer almost where they die after a certain amount of time of is it something I am not aware of?

These things are extremely vulnerable to fire (Fire Bombs, Pyromancy, etc.)
i just now realized that aldrich himself is supposed to be a massive version of one of these things, i mean, he is aldo weak to fire, these things appear in both the cathedral of the deep and inside the anor londo cathedral, and also, if you exclude gwyndolin's body from aldrich, his similarity to them is very clear.
