Corvian Enemy Description

  • Winged fiend protecting the Road of Sacrifices. Player may also meet few of them before entering Ariandel's Chapel (Ashes of Ariandel DLC), after entering Farron's Keep and Untended Graves and at Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. There is also a large group of them at the Grand Archives.

  • There are also red-eyed versions that are more powerful.

Corvian Combat Information

  • Have 359 HP
  • Corvians behave cowardly until they sprout wings. Once their wings are fully formed they will attack relentlessly.
  • It's best to take them down quickly while they are transforming.
  • Some are found sleeping. These can be woken up by attacking them or having a Corvian Storyteller screech.
  • Can be lured?
  • Can be parried.
  • Are affected by Rapport.
  • Are affected by Poison, Toxic, and Bleed.

Corvian Notes & Trivia

  • Appear to be related to the Crow People of the Painted World (DS1), and by extension Velka and Crossbreed Priscilla. The descriptions on Corvian Scythe and Storyteller's Staff further the connection.
  • Their name is derived from corvus, the Latin word for "crow".
  • Corvians met in Painted World of Ariandel attacks only, when provoked.

Don't be afraid to rush groups of them on the road early game. They take a while to transform and the mages are useless in combat. You can easily kill 2 in the time it takes one to grow wings. Don't get greedy with the large group near the bonfire with anri+horace though

Trying to get the scythe, I've rested like 20 times now, and I have 7 great knives, and one staff from the *two* staff guys. I've gotten two shriving stones, and STILL no scythe. This is horrendous.

I've been farming them for 8 hours a day for the last two weeks and their wings refuse to drop! I'm wearing the gold ring, helm, two rapiers and gold coins. What Am I doing wrong??? I really want to fly. are their wings a rare drop or what?

                    The Name24 Aug 2016 13:41

The name implies the are an inherently bird-people hybrid of human and corvid (corvidae being a family of very intelligent birds including ravens, magpies, jays, and most notably for dark souls, crows). Therefore, there's pretty much no doubt that these creatures have some connection to the crow people of the previous games, and by possible extension, some relation to the goddess of sin, Velka.
